I thank god every day that Kojima is officially removed from all things MGS, thank you Konami for putting this man in his place.
P.S MGS was not created by Kojima, it was created by John Carpenter, Kojima just borrowed it, so no, I couldn't care less if Kojima has nothing to do with the movie. He's a shitty director, and there much better people who can make the film good without him.
It's great that Kojima now knows exactly how Hayter feels. Getting booted from a franchise you help create must hurt. LOL. Kojima got exactly what he deserved. Karma is a bitch.
Kojima is a pretentious prick. He actually thought that the movie studios would allow him to direct a MGS movie and held up the project for years hoping for it, what a joker. Thank God he's officially booted from the MGS franchise forever.

This generation has made an entire industry of NOT doing things. Its sad really. We live in a wold where people will watch televised high school basketball here. lol
@logicbomb_DE: Safe to say that there is no progress, we're just swarming now. Magical processors every gen don't exist anymore, silicon technology has hit a wall in terms of progress. The only real leap will be a switch from silicon computing to quantum computing.
All increases in power come from swarming now, its all just adding more and more cores. Silicon tech has been stagnant for quite some time now, it's inevitable that we will have to move past the silicon age.
You can see this stagnancy in the console wars, the hardware is just not getting much better gen after gen. There is really not much you can do about it, since swarming costs money, and is not an efficient means to increase computing power, its the only way, that current tech will allow. Sad really, how we've stopped innovating.
Its the same in almost every industry. The Petro age should have been done with ages ago, to make way for the hydrogen age, like the silicon age, its outdated, and stagnant. But old industries wanna squeeze every penny out of a waning age.
Maybe we aren't making "quantum leaps" anymore, but rather maintaining a status quo to keep a dying industry alive.

Horrible horrible decision by Sony, if they follow through.
Moore's Law has already stopped quantum leaps in computational power this gen, without astronomical price increases. Which means you would essentially have a completely useless upgrade, with no real 4K gaming ability. You're essentially paying another 400-500 bucks for 12bit color gamut, which really only serves to eliminate color banding. 400-500 bones just to go from 8bit color to 12bit color, folks, that's it.
If this was a genuine 4K AAA console, then it might make sense, but pseudo 4K is like pseudo anything, pointless.
Also splitting the console market, is never a good precedence to set.
Just make a PS4 Slim and put in a 4K bluray player with HVEC codec, so Sony can keep selling those Bluray movies. That's it, don't even bother with the CPU and GPU.
@runstalker: You're still drawing 60fps twice to each eye, with two sets of images. I don't see how a system barely able to do 30fps in HD, can suddenly draw 60fps x 2 in HD. No matter what clever programming is applied. It's not possible.

This Wii sized magical box, has nothing to do with it, the PS4 was just hiding its true power all this time. LOL PS4 was always able to do 120fps stereo in HD.
@runstalker: So you actually believe the PS4 can do 120fps in stereoscopic in HD? Really, you believe that? Where is this magical power coming from, when it can barely run Witcher in HD at 30fps non stereo.
