You can't go wrong with 4K and I assume HDR, I don't have it "yet".
I just played the Infinite Warfare demo on the PS4 Pro in 4k checkerboard. I played through the entire Steam/PC campaign when it launched already in true native 4k/60 on a 70" 4K TV with dual GTX 1080's. The PS4 Pro visuals were so damned close. I could tell there were subtle things about how the image is rendered and so slight softness, I mean slight as it still retained a 4K crispness that's unmistakable.
One reason I stopped gaming on console prior to the Pro was that overtime I would load up a game, the entire time looking at it I kept thinking how much better it would be on PC with ultra settings. Blurriness, jagged lines, pop-in, etc... With Pro Enhanced titles they are just mind blowing, almost no need for a PC as long as 30fps is perfectly ok with you on most AAA titles
My point... The Scorpio will likely be even better than the Pro with higher native resolutions or more bells and whistles and will make console addicts lose their minds. Console gaming is just NOW after nearly 20 years is JUST getting to the level I had always wished it would be. To be honest, The Scorpio is going to be above and beyond anything Xbox gamers deserve if they are deliberately avoiding the PS4 Pro or PC gaming out of spite. You know who you are and you can't justify it no matter how hard you try. But it will be a damned fine console for those people and likely anyone else looking for a one time (short term) investment in a controlled gaming environment. Microsoft be damned for not having any exclusives for those of us already content with PS4 Pro and PC.
@DIOSNY: My clowny PC is super glittery and lined with Trump gold running at 983 Gigawatts powered by 90 elephants but I still enjoy consoles exclusives as long as the console offers modern graphics which the PS4 Pro does AND has games I can't play on PC. I wish Scorpio offered that as well. Oh, did I mention my PC is more powerful than the Sun? With my sunglasses on I can see my PS4 Pro sitting proudly besides it as Horizon Zero Dawn awaits.
Permadeath? HTF needs permadeath in a game that has no objective or serous consequences? I tinkered around with the last major update with base building then kept wanting it be like Fallout 4 and then realized I was just wasting time for no reason building a base that served no purpose.
@DIOSNY: I have and LOVE the PS4 Pro for it's exclusives because I'm a "core" gamer, not brand agnostic. If Scorpio had the games, I would have the Scorpio. period.
I'm really just mad at Microsoft not giving me a reason to buy the Scorpio because I really do want it. However, the very best possible gaming experience always comes first and foremost for any game I decide to commit my time to. If there is something better out there, I must have it.
@titang1: I just sold both my 1080's to get two new 1080ti's when available... And Microsoft is terrorized to tell console gamers how much Scorpio is actually going to cost. pfft. What a separation of target audiences this all is.
