So far most of the E3 games shown to be 4K are actually not true native 4K. According to Digital Foundry. My PC does 4k/60 but most of the time it requires dual GTX 1080Ti's to be overclocked in SLI mode to get there. Native 4K/60 is tough, it's expensive and it's HOT. It generates tons of heat and there's significant work that has to be done to keep things cool and from throttling. To get graphics as far as they have using all the little magic tricks built into the PS4 Pro and XoX is astounding. I'm getting tired of all the stupid trolly bullshit from most of you people about what's 4K, what's not really 4K, that 4K is hype, you can't even see the 4K... Shut up already. 2160p displays are going to be the standard moving forward so get use to it. If you're still renting DVD's from Redbox, good luck to you.
For the people that actually have a "quality" 4K tv with HDR that's larger than 55" know how great these new consoles are. Even you already own a PC.
If you don't have a good 4K TV don't mouth off, you sound stupid and it's obvious you have no clue. Getting gaming performance at or above 1440p on a gaming console is very commendable. Getting performance at greater than 1800p is right there where we need to be for the "perception" of 4K to be universally accepted. $500 is a steal for for what you get and if the price tag bothers you, you are not the target audience and have not already upgraded to 4K yet. It's not for you.
@Smosh150: I've had VR since the Oculus DevKit 2. Over time as the novelty of the experience wheres off it's easy to see all the things that need improvement.
As far as subsidizing the console, you don't need a new one every three years, they just need to only offer the plan during the first year of launch. After that the sales and bundles take over.
@si2k78: When you don't know what you're talking about it's best to shut the hell up. Especially when you're acting as if all the consoles from the last 40 years were some how able to do any of the things you claim they need to now do.
