@sladakrobot: I haven't noticed any Halo Wars 2 dlc, perhaps they did. I have zero interest in Halo Wars and don't even count it as Halo news. I can't think why they would make an announcement of DLC at an event like E3 for a game that didn't do very well.

@nativepixel: The key take away from all the alluding and hinting the last few months was that there would NOT be any new Halo FPS game but something Halo related. Based on all the info on hand, it seemed obvious it was 4K versions of the classic Halo series to coincide with the launch of the XoX. Are you asking WHY people would want to revisit the Master Chief Collection on the XoX in 4k? Why does the vocal minority demand to play their old games on a brand new 4K console on their new 4K tv? Why ask why?

@spaced92: He's the Trump role to the other Xbox zombies. They give him likes while everyone wishes we didn't live in bizzarro world.

Without entirely knowing everything they held back. I would have made a case to hold ALL games back that still had a 2018 release. Every company out there needs to stop showing things that are too far away from release. That is where Microsoft succeeded this year, showed a lot of 2017 releases. Sony showed very few.

Waiting an extra month to play it on PC was bullshit enough. Waiting a year for all the launch content is double bullshitty considering all the other content that will likely release for the game in the meantime.

@Smosh150: 3 years is a good timeframe for a brand new console launch. They tend to last 3-5 years for many people. More than the average cell phone plan which is two years then you trade it in.

VR on the other hand is new and in 3 years will be a whole lot better, different. I personally would pay for the XoX over the next three years. I won't touch VR till they get their shit together. The actual headsets need major upgrades still. poor FoV, poor display resolution, poor refresh rate, poor AAA support, poor portability, poor input options. Basically all of it is poor!

I'll be playing this in 4K/60 on the PC I built for less than $10 made out of saltine crackers and the rotary dial of an old phone I found in the junk yard. It will be so sweet!

Microsoft toyed around with subsidization many years back. You could in theory get the XoX on a 3 year payment plan that included Gold membership during that time. The cost is about $19 a month but even if they made it something like $25 or $30 a month i bet people would pay into that.

The IGN guys said it looked bad, like a last gen game. Was not crisp at all. That was on PC, I wonder if the video settings were borked.

After a couple of days of having the life sucked out me reading peoples comments online after E3 reveals, I decided to get a few hours of Wipeout Omega collection and Horizon Zero Dawn in to relax.

Yeah, life is better again. Whether you've lost hope in humanity yet or not there's nothing better for a gamer than to load up a spectacular game on a 4K OLED HDR TV and just forget about everything. Adding XoX into the mix (not the community, just the games and console) can only make things even better.
