I've missed out on everything because I unplugged my 360 to make sure I did well in the last year of my degree, the only things I've sat down and played through myself were Mass Effect 3 and Halo 4. Missing AC3, Dishonored, I really want to play through dragon's dogma.. I've only experienced most games this year from watching parts of let's plays and things, sigh. Fortunately I worked at the same time so I've saved enough for several months of holidays before I try to get a graduate job, heeeaps of time
I thought he was just going to focus on video games, but then he talked about media as a whole, which is a little better. However, you can't ignore the scientific research that does not show casual links between media violence and real life violence.
Its strange that this NRA guy would be for censorship and denying adults the right to choose what they own, when that's the very battle he has with gun laws. Come on, dude.
I don't care about covers, when I buy a game I already know what it is, I've seen information, screens, videos, reviews about it on gamespot or ign.
All Ken is saying is that people like me, who know Bioshock Infinite already, plan on getting it, and don't really care about what the standard cover looks like. Because of this, he thinks its smart to design the cover for people who do not spend time on gaming websites and do not know about it, so that it catches their interest in stores. I think thats smart too.
The commenters below all seem to be wannabe analysts. I think its a waiting game, the current generation sold about the same in each consoles first week. Time is the teller, it takes a while to build an install base. Personally I'm trying to find a reason to get one cause gaming is feeling cumbersome and I'd like something new (like a next gen console..). I just can't find a good reason though, there aren't any games worth getting it for
I don't know why I would need a WiiU over whatever console I already own, the only real exclusive games that might be okay are New Super Mario Bros and Scribblenauts? All the other games have been out for the other consoles for a while now. Is it weird to have such a weak launch title lineup or was it the same for the Wii?
Personally, I'm actually excited about Destiny. A part from Bungie's good track record, I like the aim of a deep sci-fi universe, that the game apparently has some social aspect, and discovery. I actually like the premise too, that big white alien orb is actually protecting humanity, though they don't know why or what it is? I want to know what it is
