we never expected killzone 2 to be a sales phenominum we hyped graphics and the game to be AAAE the only damage control comes from lemmings claiming undeserved ownage

It's you guys fault why halo wars flopped so badly if you guys haven't hyped it AAAE maybe you could have gotten away with your 6.5 and just made the game an after though of bad games but with AAAE hype the pwnage was huge :D

Killzone 2 sales hit platinum

It looks like Sony has some good news to share with us. The boys and girls over at Sony HQ just issued a press release announcing that Killzone 2 has reached the million sold milestone.

According to press release, Sony is quite pleased with the game's success and believes it will drive further hardware adoption.

"Following the revelation that Killzone 2 became the fastest SCEA title on PS3 to reach 500K sold, Sony today revealed that the critically acclaimed first-person shooter from Guerilla Games has sold over one million copies worldwide. The company pointed to the game as another example of an 'only on PlayStation experience," and noted that it will "continue to drive incentive for hardware sales throughout the year.'"

the article also boasts strong PS2 sales.

it took a month thats not anything special at all for a game thats been hyped for 4 years and got 9/10 reviews

and the marketing wasnt bad at all it was actually more advertised then any game i can think of in a long time

get yourfacts straight the hype was for killzone 2 to get AAA and it did and the graphics and as you can see it's the graphics king the hype was not concerning sales and the sales are pretty good 1 million plus now is very good in fact before killzone 2 was released most lemmings were bragging that halo wars would outsell it because it's got halo on the cover you want flop look at halo wars or ninja blade both games hyped AAAE and both flopped

and their sales are not so stellar as well.

Now bragging about Halo Wars outselling KZ 2, so why not use worldwide sales(the true total sales and not confined to 1 region). KZ 2 outsold Halo Wars in total numbers.

Now for RE5, the PS3 version leads the 360 version if you factor in Japan and European sales.

So why no mention of all that?

not by much which is a dissapointment giving 360 has around 7 to 8 million more units sold because of the 1 year head start.
