I for one love PC gaming not for the just overall better graphics than consoles(I own all the consoles for certain games), but just for the customization. I like building and tweaking my PC's. If you don't, well than good for you. I happen to enjoy making and downloading different mods for games and changing my system specs every now and then, maybe overclocking a few parts, swapping cases, just trying to show my baby off. Consoles are great for just sitting down and playing with friends, but my PC is my gaming center, and my showpiece.

I completely agree with you, theres nothing more fun than getting to fix some problems with my 360 by sending it back to microsoft. During that time, I may buy some differen't faceplates which really make my 360 look super sexy. I find that I get as much gameplay out of the halo 3 calibration tools, as I did with the game itself. PC gaming and Xbox 360 gaming sure are a blast. I know plenty of xbox 360 gamers who have tweaked with the powerbrick in order to send the xbox 360 an extra amp or two, who knows what will happen, its like a horror game, its a blast!

Because they are lazy and don't know how to build a good computer....and it has good games...all 3 of them in its entire life time lol.whocares9

I don't think it has to do with being lazy, Although I am lazy, and play Xbox 360 primarily, I built my last pc. I agree with you on good games.

The reason why Americans choose 360 is because we are the most reasonable. Other countires don't mind buying products like the wii because they are soo used to things like the popstation.

I'm suprised if there are any ps3 owners in the world that bought it other then its blu-ray functionality. If you have an HDTV, and don't mind spending $600 on what could end up being the loosing format, then the PS3 was a fine choice, (not anymore), back then it was the cheapest, sure it may not be the most attractive unit but it sorta makes up for it since it can play some electronic video games (if your interested in that sort of stuff)

For anyone that is still convinvced that they want a PS3, I highly recomend the Samsung BD P1400 instead (or any other substitute).

All I see on consoles are platformers/stripped-down FPS/arcade racing. Blah. Where's the Diablo? Where's the WoW or CS:S or Company of Heroes or Total War or Civilization or any game that actually requires some forethought and planning rather than the usual console 'save the world...by yourself' re-hash? 9 million people on WoW. 13 Million people on Steam. 4 million Guild Wars accounts. Some people prefer depth and complexity over simplicity.

Diablo (Good thing pg gaming hasn't had a recent drought), WoW (Never heard of that one before), CS:S (At least this game is not just another FPS, I find this one of the most unique and underplayed of pc gaming), Company of Heroes, Total War (Console gamers don't know that these type of games are availible to the pc plateform), Civilization (At least this is not just another sequal, all console games seem to have is tons of sequals), "or any game that actually requires some forethought and planning" (Good point, I totally forgot about those games, good thing you know all about them)

I don't think most people understand what lag is. It's not a matter of whether or not their is lag (since all servers have it), its the matter of how severe the lag is. I have few problems with xbox live. Recently there were a couple of bad games in which case, the game is unplayable but it is unfrequent. You can easily notice when everyone is at either 1 bar or two bars and yet one person has full.

It was funny because the host went to our spawn point, and we were all getting wiped out by him.

I've never played PSN, but I have played pc games for a while. Of course, I've never seen anything as bad as the Crysis beta servers.

I never thought i'd see so many people crying about $10...

Just ridiculous. It'll be free in a few months if you wanted to wait. You don't want it then don't pay for it. Crying about it on a forum doesn't really make you look any better though.

Puckhog04

The longer you defend this kind of abuse of the marketplace system, the longer MS is going to milk it. I'm sorry but $10 is not reasonable for three maps.

Where did i defend it? I'm simply saying that $10 is nothing...and it isn't. Well, for me anyway. Others it may be different. You do have a choice though so get over it.

It doesn't matter what 10 dollars is for you or anyone else. It depends on the relation between the price and the value you get for that price. Paying 10 dollars for 3 silly maps is a blatant rip-off. It's as simple as that.

So don't pay for it.

Is this new map pack not going to interrupt matchmaking?

If so, then some gamers either have to pay for this overpriced crap, or waste the 60+ dollars they spent on the game (if they bought it for the multiplayer, which many did)

You are also simply avoiding how the price is all relative. There are plenty of situations in the world where something may be worth 10 dollars, there is also many where it isn't, including this one. I'm not trying to tell you what you should do with your money but it seems like you don't have anything usefull to say.

For halo 2, the individual maps were 2 dollars and the map pack was just over that. Now its $3.33 a map. (also remember, bungie stated that one of the maps is the most simple map they have ever created in terms of layout) If bungie continues its pattern with adding maps, we will spend over 36 dollars in map packs (if you buy them on time). That is compared to 24 dollars if you bought all the halo 2 maps asap.

Combined with the price of games rising 10 dollars, that makes the total spent on Halo 3 close to a 100 dollars, and thats for the cheapest version. I think with the record sales that bungie made, they could at least be nice to the customers.

Uh, no. You can love the style, but its graphics are not up to par with current gen titles like Gears of War, Mass Effect, and Uncharted.

Sometimes art >>>> realistic shooters.

Why are you talking about realistic shooters. I don't see any that was posted in what you quoted?

[QUOTE="Cedmln"]LOl. Hermits whats going? Can't play the full experience of Crysis with spending tons, huh?rimnet00

Says the kid who's front runner games don't even run at 720p... where is the 1080p?? PC gamers have been playing in 1080p for ages, whats the deal? Please, it's like laughing at someone who owns a Ferrari taunting him that the race track is closed for the winter -- while you drive your Civic around town.

Lol, ages you say. Most of my pc games don't even support widescreen. Seems to me like you haven't been playing pc games for too long, especially if you consider that 1080p availible for pc games has been around for ages.

Lets look at something like Burning Crusade. 7 new zones, over a thousand new quests, 2 new races, 10 new levels, almost 100 hours of brand new content (NOT counting doing things more then once). How the hell can that not count but something like Gears of War, a 8 hour game (a fantastic 8 hour game mind you) does? OFCOURSE expansions count.Cali3350

Blizzard spent alot less time, per hour of gameplay, than epic did.

Much better.

mingo123

^^^ those pics look worse then 360 version

Actually, I have the xbox 360 version only, and that second picture looks very nice. I don't care that much however since if I really cared about who has the best graphics, i would have upgraded my screen. Both the ps3 and xbox 360 have a solid framerate, the graphics look good, so as long as it has that, all I care about is the gameplay.

I think lemmings and cows need to stop trying to say that their system has superior graphics. Also, hermits need to stop creating pc>console threads because you guys are starting the argument.
