I think your getting the ps3 version because you don't have an xbox 360.
[QUOTE="Doomshine"]Well this is wierd:
Does the PS3 version have more AF? Hard to tell though, when this is the only pic where you can see more than a close-up of a texture.

Dude, seriously from this pic, I would give the PS3 an edge as far as graphics. Look at the ground, the PS3 has better looking ground for sure. The wall just looks about the same.
For me, the ground texture looks more realistic on the 360 version with less jagies and more confincing cracks. The texture on the walls appears clearer on the 360 but you would only see the advantage at a certain distance (too far and it wouldn't matter, too close and they all look blurry)
what is the logic behind pc games not being able to be downgraded. Also, Crysis ground texture is nowhere near this:
I dont think thats true. If you mean one is dynamic contrast ratio and ones normal, then the numbers are too close. From what i've seen, usually 1000:1 normal contrast ratio is around 3000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
Does anyone know if this moniter will show 1080p material in the correct aspect ratio?
I don't understand why every retailer states that it is 700:1 while on Samsungs website, they state it as 1000:01:00. I assume thats just a fancy way of saying 1000:1. Here are links:
1. Samsung "Contrast Ratio : 1000:01:00"
2. Newegg "Contrast Ratio document.write(neg_specification_newline('700:1')); 700:1"
3. Amazon "The Samsung 2280HD features a 700:1 contrast ratio and a 5 ms response time..."
I'm hoping that Samsung has the correct information. Does anyone have any thoughts about this moniter? It's 16:10 but im hoping it will be able to display 1080p material in the correct aspect ratio without much or all visual deficiency. I hate light bleeding so if you have this moniter, can you tell me about its backlight quality?
