Tried Celeste. Very quickly decided I didn't like it. Bounce, spike, re-spawn, jump, spike, re-spawn, jump, jump, spike, re-spawn, repeat for 20 minutes, delete. Very annoying indeed.
Looking forward to WRC6 - been a while since I did a bit of rallying.
I really enjoyed the first one. I don't play MP games but finished the campaign. As a cover shooter it worked really well, and it looked gorgeous, one of the best looking games I've played in the past few years, right up there (visually) with RDR2 and Kingdom Come; Deliverance.
Will probably get this at some point, though, again, only for the campaign.
I don't get this. "In the future, it'll be rolled out for Android smartphones...". So is this only for mobile gaming?
Or streamed via a phone to be played on a tv? Or do they expect everyone to go out and buy an Nvidia Shield device (currently about £200) to play their streamed games on?
@srfilk86: well I can't deny that's true but hundreds of thousands of people would lose their livelihoods in the intervening years. I'd always rather just hope the gaming industry improves its product.
Let's not forget that we see fantastic games like Spiderman, RDR2, GTA5, the Forza's, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us, and we currently have healthy competition between 3 manufacturers (alright, Sony are running away with it, but maybe in a few years?). It's not the greatest era for video gaming I don't think, but it's certainly not the worst, although things like endless mobile game reboots and microtransactions are pretty insidious.
Some of these are complete nonsense imo. "Art direction", "sound design", "orginal music". Who really cares about those ones? It's like a school sports day - everyone wins something, there can be no losers and no-one walks away empty-handed.
For me GOTY would be RDR2, though I would throw out a big hello and thank you to Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
You hope the gaming industry crashes and burns? One of the biggest industries in the world and the biggest entertainment sector, that billlions of people worldwide enjoy and love? What good would that do?
For the record I'd always rather buy a console and continue to play (ideally) discs on that device on a large-screen tv. The last thing I hope for is the gaming industry to collapse. What's the benefit of that?
Jesus Christ! This looks like the most boring game I've ever seen! Unless I'm much mistaken it's a 2-hour-long game, but the replay value is minimal because you have to re-start the whole thing again, so no-one's going to even try any of the alternative options, because there are many other games out there.
And you just watch someone wandering around a refugee camp and get to read a text conversation between them and someone who's not there?
And it's an 8? Seriously??? It reads like a 2.
Is this genuine or has GS been hacked by some leftie politicos? Thank God this is only on the NS and pc so I won't stumble across it by mistake.
@sippio: There's too much ridiculousness in your comment to respond to it all, but I would say that if you seriously feel that Game Pass "should" be included in Xbox Live, if it weren't for MS's greed, then you're in for a very unfulfilling and frustrating life.
Please see czechrover's comment below for more details.
In other news, I own a small shop, and I tell you what, the stuff I sell is brilliant! It'll change your life! But, of course, you won't be able to prove this for yourself until you've given me the money for it...
