@xenomorphalien: Must say I honestly don't care if it's an xbox exclusive or not. I only care that it's playable on the xbox so I can play it if it looks good.
Looking forward to this game. There do seem to be a lot of one-off incidents that make you remember these types of games. Love that horse kicking the guy in the face; those mean buggers do that all the time so it's good to see it in a game! Also, on that "when cinematic view goes wrong" video, it's great to see the horses slam into each other and the riders get thrown off, which is what would happen, as opposed to just clipping through, or brushing past each other.
I also spent a lot of time in GTA5 (and Mafia3) just driving around, and in Fallout 3/4 just wandering aimlessly / exploring, so I'm looking forward to wasting many hours in the countryside in RDR2.
I think this looks pretty nice. One of my favourite games is Dying Light and it looks a lot like that - which can only be a good thing.
I'd been ingoring this because I thought it was yet another dull Telltale game - "press x to open the drawer", "press x to kill the zombie", "press x to drive the car" point-and-click nonsense, but I'm quite interested in it now. Or maybe I'll just buy DL2.
Wow! This looks awful!! Also, the main character in the video, is that a guy? I thought it was the same girl from the photos he / she keeps looking at.
But wow, how bad does that combat look? You'd start off, yeh, this is ok, but after about 3 or 4 minutes I'd imagine you would have had enough.
Very poor effort. Metacritic 34% - and that's only because someone bizarrely gave it 4/5.
JC3 was a great game - an awful lot of fun - but whenever you had more than about 2 things on fire or exploding the game would drop to about 1 or 2fps (literally). I mean, it was very ambitious, and look superb, but those slowdowns would really drop you out of any immersion you may have been feeling previously and really hamper the gameplay.
@djwood84: I disagree. I remember the buzz that was around it when AC1 was first released...it was by far the best looking game out there by a mile and offered something very different (parkour and stealth) in a different setting / era to every other game.
Plus, 81% critics' score on Metacritic. There's no way to prove it, of course, by I'd imagine an awful lot of people will d/l and play it again, as it's free.
@gatsbythepig: I just find it so pathetic that when being offered free games there's always someone who wants to come on and moan and whine about the games (in some way) not actually being free. And comparing it to Netflix, a service that solely exists to provide people with streamable tv and films, is like comparing apples to bananas.
The fact is that Xbox Live! was initially offered to provide people with a way to play demos (back when they were a thing), and play MP. Later the free games were added....as an additional service but the price didn't increase...so it's a free service.
Crying about it every single month is just pointless, childish, and repetitive.
@boardsport311: You're right!! How dare they throw another excellent game from the past at us for free!! What do they think we are, idiots??? We're not falling for that!! Do they think this will give people who never played it the chance to experience it for the first time, and those of us who loved it another chance to enjoy it???
