I bought this about a year or so ago and really enjoyed it for a couple of months. Then I just found it a bit grind-y. Maybe I should have stuck it out a bit but I didn't and sold it again (gotta love physical discs!). I'd love this to come to Game Pass but it doesn't look like it ever will.
You have to appreciate the support these guys are (now) giving this game.
@AvIdGaMeR444: Same as you 2. FO3 is still my favourite game ever, also loved FNV and FO4 and was really looking forward to OW...and started it with a huge sense of excitement...but that waned. I probably put in about 30 hours or so, but that was about it. Compare that to about 300 hours I played FO3.
@jyml8582: I see your point - but surely the beauty of games such as these was that you could play it 20 times on the trot, and every game would be different anyway. I'd love to see a new C&C as much as the next guy but maybe they are slinging this out to see if there's still enough demand of these types of games for a whole new game..
@velite: I seriously wouldn't worry about it.; if I sold you a jumper and said "it will last you for at least 2 or 3 years", but you found a way to destroy it in 2 days, that wouldn't diminish the value of that jumper, it just means you wanted to ruin it in 2 days and succeeded. But many other people who bought the same jumper would nevertheless enjoy it for years.
@velite: Because someone who tried to managed to finish it in 25 minutes? Who cares?? People try to speed run every game. I'm sure someone somewhere finished Witcher 3 or MGSV in less than an hour - but there's easily 30 or 40 hours of gameplay in each of those games.
Don't worry about it. If you like the look of this, get it - it's getting some great reviews. I've only put in about 2 hours so far but I've hardly started it. - and it's bloody good!
Good review. I played this last week with Game Pass and came to pretty much the same conclusion. I'd probably give it a 7 (as someone has already done on this bb). Or maybe a 6 - but the 5 given here is certainly in the ball park. I had no real problems with the camera - but thought the puzzles were pretty tough and, per the review, there seems to be just a single way to complete each one. Felix is funny though - he has some very good moves and there's a decent amount of comedy and fun implanted in this. It looks great too.
It's a crack for an hour or two but you may then move on rather quickly.
