Those raids were never removed from the game, they were always able to be played genius. Why should those of us who were long term customers be punished and forced to see the same content again?
Don't forget that much of the content they release isn't new at all, it's recycled old stuff. One of the FOUR patches Blizzard has made in the almost two years of Cataclysm was the reintroduction of the troll instances ZG and ZA.
Even MoP is following the same formula by recycling SM and Scholomance. You're right, it is terrible
I agree that it felt like a single player game, and that might have been what hurt it the most. Everywhere felt empty. The only thing WOW has going for it IMO is its large community.
Now I'm even angrier that I wasted $40 on Cataclysm.
Just because GW2 isn't charging a fee doesn't mean it doesn't compete, people are going to have to choose where to spend time and if GW2 turns out to be really good -and they spend their time there, I don't think most people will justify giving Blizzard $15/month. I'll be leaving TOR for GW2 next month.
If TOR drops its sub, does it stop being a competitor to WOW?
I'd definately put TOR as better than WOW (again I'm speaking post-Cataclysm). While that game was far from perfect, it was a very fun game until you reached the level cap.The story archs were very good, that's something WOW doesn't have anymore. TOR reminded me of WOW when WOW used to be fun
