With that said, what I think he meant is that designing games with better graphics leads to improvement on the rest. Also, I've enjoyed all of Crytek's games and bought all of them.
Cockpit view is easy to drive in if you game on eyefinity or with three monitors where the side monitors give peripheral vision. When you drive with eyefinity, a wheel, and cockpit view then these games become a new type of experience that all hardcore racers need to experience and will never go back.
First I'd like to know how much it cost to produce each game and how much was spent to market each game as well. The previous story said that they didn't count digital sales but the only way to buy Tomb Raider and Sleeping Dogs on the pc was through digital means so they are discounting possibly millions of sales. Also, if you are expecting 5 million sales in one month for Tomb Raider you're a freakin idiot. I'm sure it'll make those numbers by winter but in one month? You must me smoking crack or sniffing glue to come up with those numbers.
Most pc gamers want to play their games at 1080p with everything cranked to max settings. Otherwise, what's the point in playing on the pc? A NICE system like that will cost at least $700-800.
os-$100
8gig ram $50
mobo $150-200
gpu $300-400
hard drive $100-200
Wireless card $30
case $30
>600w psu $100
I seriously doubt it'll cost under $500, unless by "decent" you mean crap.
A good gpu on the pc costs around $250-300. Then you have to buy ram, motherboard, cpu, hard drive, os, etc. Total cost for a gaming system on the pc is about $700-800. $430 is quite reasonable for a console with a Radeon 7950 equivalent.
The one word that comes to mind about Microsoft position is "HUBRIS". Sony learned a valuable lesson after PS3. This is probably the best advertisement for the PS4. Imagine buying a blu-ray or DVD player where you need to be connected to the internet in order to watch your movies. I wouldn't pay $1 for the xbox720 if it required online connection to work. I hope this console fails spectacularly just to teach M$ a lesson. Deal with it.
C'mon dude, lighten up. I bought DNF off steam for about $2 after a couple of months and it was great for that price. I also bought Colonial Marines off Amazon for $20. Everything you just said about DNF could also apply to Alien CM, except for releasing it on the Wii U.
