Please Gamespot, stick to game news not local news. As a Canadian I don't expect the offers that you're reporting to apply to me, but they should at least be realistically offered across the better part of your country.
@triplebullet: It was a game that ended up being sub par due largely to it's size and lack of a proper story. Don't get me wrong, it has first in class game mechanics, gorgeous environments, and great voice acting. Even the cut scenes are done well. The problem is that it was too late, still little.
Destiny is an IP most in need of a dooover. There's far too many good things in there to throw it away. I'm hoping Destiny 2 will be fresh start it deserves.
I'll pick this up because Naughty Dog makes good games, and I like the Uncharted game mechanics, but honestly I play uncharted because of Nathan and the dumb shit him and Sully say. The girls are good, but I prefer a good laugh. I wish we could get more girls in games that weren't so amazing all the time. I love a character that takes the piss out of themselves for doing something stupid.
@defiler: Have you ever had your favorite dish at a restaurant and it just wasn't up to par. It wasn't bad, most people would love it, but you're used to it being amazing and it just wasn't.
I'm personally tired of people calling a game a piece of garbage just because of one aspect of it. Some things can ruin peoples desire to play a game but trashing the whole game because of it is a bit childish. Yes game X's controls suck and that makes it tough to play. But what if literally everything else is amazing. Calling the whole game crap is not going to get the controls fixed.
@deviltaz35: I'm not talking hardware, I'm sure they could make it run fine but the more I saw the game the more lackluster I found it. I smaller dragon with smaller enemies probably could have got my attention more. Bigger is not better. I hate watching how enemy movement has to be done to justify the posibility that you might be able to defeat it.
That looked a lot like running in a straight line.
I feel like Sonic has enough character that a story driven, 2d/3d brawler/adventure game would be a big hit. You could throw the token classic sonic level in for good measure. Either way I would like to see sonic branch out from what it was and become more like - Sonic the cartoon is now a game.
I've been wanting this for at least a decade. That being said I will likely not use it until the lineup has matured. The only thing I dislike is the likely closing of my favorite mall pitstop EB Games.
