I'm still trying to figure out why the rave scene was neccessary in Reloaded.

[QUOTE="ramey70"][QUOTE="Nugtoka"][QUOTE="PS3_3DO"]THats funny true-HD is one of those Sony hype terms 360 can already output 1080p on component and VGA cables there is only 1080p not true-HD 1080p The problem isn't outputting 1080p over component or VGA, the problem is finding a set that will accept 1080p over component and vga. Some do, many don't. Buy a Samsung. No problems with that at all. The only TV's that don't accept 1080p over component and VGA are Sony's, which is by design, not accident. Mitsubishis, some HP's, Toshibas, and several others don't as well. Can it use true-HD 1080p?

i think that claim was made before the lost preorders...
No, it's IN ADDITION to the preorders. In other words, if these preorders hadn't been canceled, 185,000 instead of 165,000 would've been sold on launch day. And even if you're right and 20,000 preorders of those 165,000 sold at launch were canceled, that would still leave the PS3 with 145,000, and that's STILL the biggest home console launch in UK history, 40,000 more than the Wii at 105,000. SO put this in perspective.sorry, but i hardly find you credible..
even tho, it still doesn't help the ps3 from sitting at a 10 million console deficit....
ps... i doubt the validity of the joystiq numbers... too soon to know for certain about the actual ps3 sales...
but i understand your exuberance to jump on any good news (rumor or not) about the ps3... it needs all the hype it can get after getting it's teeth kicked in by the xbox360...;)
10 million console deficit? You need to brush up on your reading comprehension before you start questioning other poster's credibility.if it makes you feel better... how 9 million grab ya?
It doesn't make me "feel" one way or another. I happily own both consoles and would never be so childish as to attach emotion to a piece of machinery.[QUOTE="magus-21"][QUOTE="tango90101"][QUOTE="magus-21"]Hey, geniuses.... You are either clueless or not a movie aficionado.who cares about blu ray?
What good movies are avalible for it? NONE, ohh yea.
hockeyruler12
Dude, there is absolutly nothing good on blu ray to watch, imho.
Blu ray woohooo extra content lol, dev's aint gonna waste their time to make crap for ps3 unless sony gives devs money.
I'm a 360 owner.. i have to use.. OMG!
After i got a HD TV i realize how bad not to have a HD movie player build in..
Why? Simple.. build in is build in..!After i buy a console .. and have to spend.. 200+ to play a movie is way to stupid!
xbox360's hd-dvd is portable and can be used on the computer like a laptop home pc, ps3's blu ray cant lol...so kinda advantage there...the only real advantage ps3 has is storage space, devs aint never gonna take advantage of it though.
Lol...says you but devs like Kojima and SOnys 1st parties are already taking advantage of it. And as for the HD DVDs portable feature, when someone spends 2000-3000 dollars on a 1080p TV 40-50" do you think they wanna watch the movie on their laptop or computer. Come on, that is hardly a feature especially when you pay 200 dollars for an HD DVD player which has fewer quality movies and uses VGA.you can barly tell the difference between vga/dvi/hdmi maybe alittle better colors, if you have a good quality vga cable, the the image quality will practically be the same, plus there's places where you can buy 360 hd-dvd for 149$.
You can also use component cables.
blu ray movies have no 720p option so if your tv doesnt support 1080p image will be downgraded to 480p ive read on forums.
Wrong TVs that suppport 720p always support 1080i as well and when a blu ray movie is on the PS3 it plays at 1080p or when not available 1080i for 720p TVs. Do some research before you speak so certaintly.my TV supports 720p, but not 1080i
What is the make and model of your set?
