Here's another review that gets 7.0 out of 10. Although he is rating the Japanese version he does mention turning off the driving aids and points out that lack of online hurts it (US and European versions will have online play).

Damn...well they did atleast improve the game...thats all I can give them...and maybe just maybe they updated the rosters?...or the Teams stats?....I know thats very doubtful...but I will still buy it... The sad part is that I will still buy it too.

Eb and Gamestop are known for Fanboyism. My GS refused to sell me one, until I got the kid fired. They will sell when the games arrive, and why do people really care anyway, especially Lemmings. Agreed. But the problem is, fans might not be as patient as sony would like, and when they see 3 of their upcoming AA and AAA tuitles (RSV, Oblivion, Fear) are out and are better on the 360, they might cross the threshold. Ive seen several people who have turned in their ps3 not due to lack of $, but lack of games. People are sick of "Waiting". they Waited a long time for the ps3. Most of em waited in long lines for em. They dont want to wait anymore. This is a very true statement. I know many people who are sick of the delays.
This game was supposed to come out in November. Then January. Then February. Early march. Now late march. What in the hell could be the possible reason? They managed to get NBA 2k7 out at launch and it was pretty solid. Is it really that hard to get the collegiate counterpart out on time. The NCAA tournament is over in early April. Is it even worth buying this game now?
Been struggling to find official news on the web regardning the PS3's ability to upscale regular DVD:s. As far as I can tell, it couldn't do it out of the box at launch, but Sony were working on a software solution. Anyone sitting on anything official?

PS3 CANNOT UPSCALE DVDS!!!! Only regular Blu-Ray Players can!! Yeah, all it will take is a firmware update. Honestly, the processor required to upscale a dvd, like the ones used in standard BR players, is nothing compared to the Cell. While playing a movie, the ps3 isn't doing much of anything else, and could easily use the Cell as an upscaler. Of course, that would only be necessary if the internal scaler rumors turn out to be false. However, the ps3 can upscale certain things now, and this is supposedly due to an internal hardware scaler, according to Beyond3D. ps3 is possible to upscale dvds but its not because of the cell, its going to be hard for sony to make this possible because the ps3 doesn't have a great scaler i've been hearing, i think it will be added in the march update...im sure its possible A dedicated scaler is mainly needed for gaming. The PS3 uses very little system resources to play DVD's so there is plenty left over to upscale images via software.
