@ceelogreen94: FFX improved some of what FF7 put on the table but FF7 IS the foundation, but the PS exclusivity killed FFX in terms of global appeal it because X its only important to whomever had a PS at the time. While square bet with FF7 on a PC release at launch that was a success, and at the same time they shotgun their heads off by taking the deal with Sony that would keep them enslaved for 10 years to Sony almost bankrupting them.
If X had a PC release at launch, it would make it feasible to be remake. For now just play the flimsy remaster.
In order to do that Sony would have to give in and offer crossplay.
As long as they keep saying no to crossplay, all MS has to do is wait them out till they bleed, The big studio purchases only started, Sony have some exclusive games under the hood since they had to show their hand during the lawsuit, so they will only feel the sting by 2025 when MS has all big releases under their belt. And as we all know all Sony big releases are making their way to PC.
@mogan: LOL Try a year max and Sony has to pay the studios a premium just to keep it that way. Getting the whole game with DLCs at half price with native 4k while sony own plebians can only play upscaled 4k XD Priceless.
Even ff16 only got 6 month exclusivity, the windows are getting shorter, poor Sony needs to make some money since PS5 are only good for poor man's crypto mining XD
