suriously what do you meen about the DVD, 360 uses HDDVDs you could never have these games on a standerd DVD

game_boy286

When you buy an Xbox 360, it does not come with an HD DVD player. You have to buy it seperate and even when you do that Xbox 360 games are not HD DVD's, they are normal DVD's. Microsoft have said they do not plan on making any games using HD DVD.

[QUOTE="shawty1984"][QUOTE="fs_metal"]Yes it can, but it is very hard to get the DVD to do that. That is the problemfs_metal

So why did you lie and say it couldnt? Plus as far as Im aware, its got nothing to do with the DVD.

What the hell are you talking about? I didn't say it couldn't.

Sorry, it was someone else who said that.

[QUOTE="shawty1984"][QUOTE="fs_metal"][QUOTE="BMWPro77"]Unless you have a TV that is larger than say 40 inches the resolution difference is not detectable. This is fact. That is why you don't see many 37" and smaller TV's that are 1080P. Did you notice that? The only 37" 1080P TV that I have seen so far is the Sharp Aquos.fs_metal
Uh....my 19 inch will display 1080p through hdmi. Not Component htough

No it wont. There is no 19" 1080p TV's out there. The smallest 1080p TV is 32" as far as Im aware.

Well, I just made yopu aware of a 19 inch that does

Im 99.9% sure there is no 19" 1080p TV, what model is it and do you have a link for it. And if Im that 0.01% wrong, you would have to be sitting about 2.5ft away to get any benefit from 1080p at 19".

Although that may be true, the same devolopers are putting games on 360 1080P but only 720P on PS3? whats with that, can you explane that (some examples are the orange box GRAW 2)

Liquid-Prince

I hope you know that the 360 doesn't output true 1080P but only upscales the image of a 720P source. It's in most cases almost physically impossible to have a 1080P game on a regular DVD.

The Xbox 360 CAN output 1080p NATIVELY.

I said in my last post that there was no 1080p Xbox 360 games. Having just had a quick look, there might be some, but Im sure the PS3 has more NATIVE 1080p games, this means ones that were made in 1080p and not upscaled.

Thats not fact at all. 1080p at 32" is the same as 1080p at 60", its your viewing distance that matters. So if you get a 32" 1080p TV and sit 10ft away from it, you will not notice the benefit of 1080p. If you sit 4-5ft from the same TV you will notice the benefit 1080p gives you. There seems to be a very big myth of smaller 1080p screens are useless for 1080p which is toally wrong and Im sick of hearing it now as it mostly comes from gaming forums. If you dont have a clue what your talking about, dont try and pretend and give mis-information on up to £1000 machines.

Back to the topic, the PS3 and Xbox 360 can output games and HD DVD's/Blu-rays in 1080p. The PS3 has a few games that are native 1080p (as far as Im aware COD4 is just upscaled to 1080p like they found out with Halo 3) and the Xbox 360 has no 1080p games (as far as Im aware).

Dont forget, we are still early into the consoles life cycle and they will only get better as time goes on. So we will most likely start to see more 1080p games.

To those who dont know sh!t about TV,s let me enlighten you. A TV thats runs 1080p is useless on any TV that is under 46'' and below. 1080p is meant only for larger sized TVs. TO have 1080p on a 32'' or anything smaller than 46'' is just useless, it is a waste of money because the guy at your eledtronics store is tellign you that 1080p is top of the line, dont believe them, they are just trying to sel you more expensive items. 1080p TV cost more, which is why they tell you that it is top of the line, its a selling gimmick, 1080p,it sure is better than 1080iand720pbut not for a TV that is unde 46''REcrazyfan

To be honest, you know bugger all from what you have just said. 1080p is the same at 32" and 60", it just depends on your viewing distance. Granted, you would have to sit close to a 32", but thats not the point.

apparently you cant really tell the difference when it is 32" but when you go to 40" you can so thats the answer i think mate .

60" reasonable lolbut it all depends how big your area of play is i suppose

elmo442

Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. Why do so many people believe this bull.

32" at 1080p is the same as 60" at 1080p. It all depends on your viewing distance.
