I think they finally figured something out, that anybody with half a brain saw during the regular season. The problem is it took until a playoff elimination game for Brooks to figure it out. Westbrook has no business being the point guard. Move him off the ball and let James Harden be your primary ball handler and decision maker. I'm not one who believes you can "develop" into a good point guard. Aside from just fundamental bball skill that position DEMANDS great court vision, instincts, and decision making. Westbrook has none of that, and i don't think you can just learn those things. You either have it or you don't. I think he'd be better fit working on his jumper all summer and move to the off guard. He may be shorter than the prototypical 2 guard but he's strong enough and athletic enough to play that position. He thinks score every time he gets it, and that just won't work at pg

Anybody who knows anything about boxing knows that Ali wasn't the best boxer ever. The only reason we think that nowadays is cause all we see is highlights of him saying "i'm the greatest". It gets beaten into your head over and over again until it becomes 2nd nature to think that way. You go to any credible boxing analyst/historian (ie., Bert Sugar) and look at their list, more often than not Sugar Ray Robinson is on top. Then you'll see a lot of lists with Henry Armstrong at number 2. It's a toss up on whether or not Ali was even the greatest Heavyweight of all time, let alone greatest boxer overall. There are a lot of people who put Joe Louis ahead of Ali. And that's often a great debate. But what's not debatable is Ray Robinson at number 1

Put your games up on ebay, then download the free games. That way you still get the games, and you can also make a little money in the process.win - win situation if you ask me. i wouldn't mind having that problem. lol

come on now you can't see what floyd is doing? He's an idiot out of the ring, but when it comes to his career he's a genious. He knows that RIGHT NOW Manny CAN beat him. Will he? who knows. But he knows he could. Ever since Floyd became "elite pound for pound" he has been VERY aware of who he's entering the ring with. He knew he was better than every other fighter, he's not sure with Manny. So what is he doing? he's waiting him out for any sign of decline then he will jump at the fight when he feels he has the advantage.

I know Manny is 2 years younger than Floyd but he is much more of a brawler than Floyd. He's taken a lot of hits in his career, especially his early years and that can take its tole when you get older. Where as Floyd, who is a defensive counter puncher, can probably count on one hand how many times he's been hurt in his entire career. So Floyd is figuring, and logically so, that he will age better in terms of not losing all his ability at a faster rate than Pac. So as long as Manny is dominating expect Floyd to lay low, and keep coming up with excuses not to fight. But the minute Manny looks like he's lost a step, expect Floyd to come in.

It's clear as day. To quote Bert Sugar, "Floyd isn't scared of Manny, he's scared of losing that perfect record" (which to me is the same thing but that's another story). There is no way he will step into that ring until he feels he is damn near as certain as one can be that he will win

Russell Westbrook 50 minutes played and 5 ASSISTS THE ENTIRE GAME. I know he dropped 40 but come on. This team is so flawed offensively in their play calling and execution it's unbelievable. They are so fortunate to have elite talent to cover up those flaws. But if they do make it out of this round those flaws will get exploited. I have to blame the coach with that. There's way to much talent for this team to just dribble, dribble, shoot every trip down the floor

OKC might have the worst offensive execution/sets i've seen in a while. It's nothing but last year's Atlanta Hawks team. Nothing but one on one plays from the top of the key EVERY time down the court. The only diff between the hawks last yr and this thunder team is that Durant and Westbrook are better than anything on Atlanta so it masks a lot of their flaws - UNTIL NOW. Either Brooks needs to go, or he needs to figure out how to run offensive sets. This team has ZERO BALL MOVEMENT.

The elite teams in this league just got very old in a matter of weeks. Spurs, Lakers and now Celtics (at least it looks that way). The new generation of the nba appears to be happening right now

[QUOTE="mont13"]

I keep hearing the commentators mentioning possible locker room issues with the Lakers and I've heard rumors elsewhere, but I don't think it has anything to do with that. The Lakers have just gotten out-everythinged (played, hustled, shot, defensed, enthusiasmed...etc). The Mav's deserve full credit for their win.

sorry mont, even after losing the first 2 at home i thought your boys would come back. I was dead wrong. And now with the looming lockout for next year and the strong chance that the Lakers roster will have significant changes, it may be a while til we have our debates again. Til then, "SIXRINGS1" says peace. LOL! you knew i had to take one more body shot
