i don't know about top 5. i think top 20 will be more like it if they are lucky. They will lose both their top WR's Young and Pettis to the NFL, and i would be shocked if Kellen Moore comes back. This is their best year in terms of talent on their roster. He might as well leave on top. He'd have nothing to come back for. That's just their offense. I'm not even taking into account the defensive players that will either graduate or enter early. They are a good program but they aren't USC, Ohio St, Alabama, Oklahoma, etc. where they just have a plethera of blue chip skill players waiting for their turn.

[QUOTE="sixringz1"]I know exactly the video you're talking about. Here it is... Bert Sugar Knows Who Is To Blame For Manny Vs. Floyd DramaWow you were all over that one. I never even saw the video i just heard the quote somewhere. good honest candid interview right thereTo quote the great Bert Sugar a few months back "Floyd isn't scared of Pacquiao, he's scared of losing his perfect record" (sorry,I don't have a link to that quote). The question is, in this case, aren't those 2 the same thing?

[QUOTE="Jinroh_basic"]Where have you been? I realize you say that you don't really follow boxing, but Pacquiao has been widely considered the #1 pound for pound boxer in the world for the past several years. He was named boxer of the decade. He doesn't even need to fight Mayweather to already be considered one of the greatest of all time.Yeah i was watching some of the post fight coverage on espn last night with Brian Kinney (host of friday night fights) and dan rafael who is the networks main boxing analyst. Both said that if he were to retire today he would be a top 10 fighter OF ALL TIME. That's saying something.i didn't watch this match and i'm only slightly familiar with boxing. so lemme ask you this - is it safe to say that Pac, by claiming a record 8th weight class title, is now the world's best pound for pound boxer alive and also one of the best ever lived, even without fighting and winning Mayweather? this statement has actually been voiced by the media and i'd like to hear what you think.

side note. that mayweather fight aint happening. By the time floyd will be "ready" to fight him Manny will be long retired and focused on more important things

You really made this post after the FIRST half of the FIRST game of the season. Wow someone is bitter
Durant. Lebron will be sharing the spotlight too much and kobe's mvp days are behind him.
no doubt. might as well skip the reg season the western conf is an absolute joke this year. The lakers will cakewalk to the finals. But they aren't gonna win it all again, i just got a hunch (or maybe a hope, lol).As far as "Greatness" (but this is really hard, waaay too much to oconsider):
1) Jabbar/Russell
2) Wilt/Jordan
3) Magic
4) Bird/Kobe
5) Oscar
But as far as 2 guards go, I'd put Kobe = with MJ.......yeah I said it! I already had Kobe as a better offensive player than Jordan but behind him in defense. But some of you have finally convinced me on what a GREAT ADVANTAGE "hand-checking" is. So I'm sure if Kobe could hand check on defense he would be as good as MJ was.
Yo, sixringz, ready for the continuation of the "Laker Reign of Terror!", aka NBA season?

if it was the PRIMARY GOAL for the team, i would give elite scorers A SHOT. I'm sorry but the fact that david robinson scored 71 points in a game speaks volumes to me. If the perfect scenerio presented itself (bad team, end of season, nothing to play for, etc) there's a CHANCE. But nobody, not even Jordan (i bet you can't believe i said that), could do it in the natural flow of the offense. Hell i'm not even convinced Wilt did it.LOL! The only thing i've ever seen from that game is him holding that piece of paper with 100 points on it. Were there actually any witnesses to that game? lolI guess this 6 ringz due is going to interrupt my sleep tonight. Nah, Gervin and David Thompson had a similar battle both great scorers, when their teams were "trying" to get them the ball to score as many as possible to win the scoring title. Neither cracked 80 let alone 100.
Your in the big leagues now homie ...step up ya game!;) later.

Madsen...hummm, ok nahhh.
But I think I gave good reason to take Magic, nothing to do with a dislike of MJ, even said I would take magic over Kobe:shock:
I loved the hate on Jordan in the other thread as well. I know it's basketball season when i see you knocking MJ. Ahhh. another season begins.of course you would. stunner there. ;) You'd prob take someone like mark madsen over Jordan because he's a "better teamate" lol.I'd take Magic.
- Magic would be the one to play within the team concept immediately.
- Magic has the more unigue combination of size and talent, and can play more positions if need be.
- I believe his will to win was as strong as Jordan's
Jordan is not a "wrong" choice either, but he would be more likely to clash with teammates, kill and eat all challengers to him being the "Alpha Male" on the team, thus disrupting team chemistry, until management got the right mix of players around him with the skill and personality to deal with Jordan's brand of IRON FIST "leadership"...... come on fella's ...I joke......a little;)
But I would take my chances with Magic, I think the return on investment would be faster.
BTW, I'd start a team with Magic over Kobe too.
