[QUOTE="TheSystemLord1"][QUOTE="sith_acolyte15"] [QUOTE="sith_acolyte15"][QUOTE="TheSystemLord1"][QUOTE="sith_acolyte15"] By quick, I don't mean from last season. I'm referring to the last few seasons as a whole. Tressel was 4-0 in BCS bowl games, and considered one of those "big game" coaches. Now, he is 4-3 and people are starting to question him. That's what I'm talking about.sith_acolyte15If you think about it within that context, then the blame falls solely on the Big 10 and its total inability to field a competitive schedule. The Big Ten isn't as "bad" as everyone makes it out to be. Seriously, I really wish people would start criticizing the ACC and the Pac-10 (minus USC) as much as they do the Big Ten. I agree people should talk about the ACC as well, but that is a basketball conference and it always has been. The big 10 is a football conference and i hate to break it to you, but THEY ARE as bad as everyone says. This is a conference that is not adjusting to the times. There is too much speed and athleticism in other conferences and playing that big bruising type of style that the big ten plays doesn't work in today's game. Sure they may have a big win from time to time, but those will be few and far between.
And as for tonight's game, i don't think this is a good showing for ohio state as much as it is that the big 12 might have been overrated this year. Ok State loses to Oregon, Texas Tech gets waxed by Ole Miss, and now Texas needs a last second touchdown to beat the resident BCS punching bag of the last few years. I already thought Florida would beat Oklahoma, but now i'm begining to think it will be a blowout
