I'm feeling psychologically better, I did laughed out loud with my friends today. Something happened and kinda pissed me off, but I won't talk about it, it would take long and would be boring too. Next week I won't go to the school. Yes, I'll probably be home from Saturday (Feb 22th) to Sunday (Mar 1st). All this vagabondness is due to the stupid Carnival. Yes, that mediocre Brazilian festival that lasts for almost a whole week, where you see retarded cars with moving things, a lot of half-naked women (the good part =D), drunks all around the place and that damn music in the air (if I could even call that samba thing music). The worst part is that I won't have absolutely nothing to do, so I may call some friends to my home to have fun and play some videogame. Talking about videogames, I'm on the very last chapter of World of Goo, which has only four levels, I guess. And I have already beaten the first one. I'm completely loving this game, it's pretty funny and I have a new favourite character: the Sign Painter. The ones who have already played WoG will get what I mean.
I loved reading all the comments about last post's song. I got really happy to know that you liked it, or at least pretended you did. I wrote a new song yesterday, and it's called "God of War". I'd like you to try guessing who it's about. Cool clue: It's not about Kratos.
An emo weekend that brings inspiration
by slipknoob on Comments
I passed the whole weekend at home, still a little sick. I still don't know whether it's a flu or a cold, mainly because I don't know the difference between them. The worst part is having both nostrils blocked, making me to breath through my mouth if I intend to keep alive. My sorrow just increased by late Saturday, when I found out that four friends of mine (one of those being da girl) were at my pal's having fun or anything cool together. That made me feel even stupider, 'cause we're always on a group of around ten people and me and another couple guys are always out of the meetings and stuff.
But my weekend wasn't of pure distress. I quit Final Fantasy for now and started playing World of Goo, a really addictive puzzle game. Some levels are pretty hard and I had to look for the video tutorials on YouTube. I'm already on the end of Chapter 4 (still don't know if "Epilogue" is a playable chapter).
What am I going to do tomorrow? I'll shave my face and go to the school. Depending on how the morning goes I won't go to my computer course* on the afternoon. My mother will leave to the state's capital by the early morning to solve some family's business, so she won't know about it, it'll be our little secret, so keep it quiet, will you? I might take a ride on my bike along the beach, freely roam around the neighbourhood or simply go to the barber and have haircut, dunno... Anyway, this godforsaken weekend gave me inspiration for more lyrics, but they're not ready yet. I'll start keyboard (piano) c-l-a-s-s-e-s (is GameSpot stupid or what?) soon, so I may record some of my lyrics and post on YouTube. Anyway, I'm posting some lyrics I wrote around one month ago. This one's called "Friend Chip" (no, it isn't Friendship) and it's about my best friend, who left Brazil and went to live in Argentina with his family. It's been over two years now.
*I didn't find the proper name, but it's a course where we learn things related to database, web design, web developing, programming, etc.
Friend Chip
If you've got friends you should be glad ('cause I've not)
If you've got someone by your side (so I hide)
So I hide what I know
I realized it some days ago
So I hide what I saw
That I do have a flaw
Chorus:
My missing friend, I miss you
I gotta do something
But I lack a clue
I know I will suffer while I don't know what to do.
But it's alright after all, it was a pleasure to meet you
Without you I'm so alone
We were just like flesh and bone
I should lock myself inside
My room, so I could hide
This dry soul that dies tonight
Chorus [2x]
P.S.: Yeah, I know, it's 100% emo.
Wake Up Call
by slipknoob on Comments
I get up at 6h30 and go to bed at 23h30 from Mon to Fri. It's not a too exhaustive routine, but I think I deserve sleeping a bit more on the weekend. However, I guess my sister's fatty friend doesn't share the same point of view with me. There are two telephones at my home, one in the dining room and another one here in my bedroom. Why'd she ring my sister at 11h30 for goodness sake!? I picked it up and said with that sleepy tone that my sister was still sleeping (as I would like to be).
But one funny thing is how our brain works. I don't know about yours, but mine does this: The first phone ring is not understood by my brain, it just ignores it. The second one is heard as a strange noise in my dreams. The third one is taken as something annoying me outside my dreams. The fourth is like a wake up slap on my ears. So I get up quickly, trying to pick it up before the fifth ring comes. But it always come when I'm on my way to the phone. It's like being hit by a baseball bat inside my head. What about you? How would you like to be awaken by someone you barely know? I was expecting it was a girlfriend of mine (not in the valentine meaning, unfortunately) who should have called me yesterday. She's probably not calling me today as well, big deal. As if it was sent just to increase my sadness, the sky is grey and it's raining and cold. And we're in Summer... Just don't think Brazil's only beaches, sun and coconut trees. At 00h of Sat to Sun, the daylight time ends. That means we'll have a pseudo-extra sleeping hour. I got better from the cold I have, though I'm not 100% yet.
Naruto #435 has come out some days ago and I read it today. Naruto and Pein's battle is getting hotter by the minute, I can't wait for the next chapter. The release of the Portuguese translation of Naruto has moved from Fri to Thur. I'll still have to wait a whole week for it...
I'm sorry for the long post and I hope you all have a better weekend than me.
Stilshrine of Miriam, here I come!
by slipknoob on Comments
Yay, since some people who I track (and track me too) are playing Final Fantasy XII just like me, it's going to be this post's issue.
As some of you might know, I had given up on it after wasting hours of leveling some months ago. I don't know why I decided to stop playing Zelda TP for a while and go back to FF. I had some good progress and I'm heading to Stilshrine of Miriam. Seems like I'll be able to do an amazing auto-level up there. The video on YouTube that teaches how to said all my characters should be at least on lv. 30, so I'm training a little before going in. I decided to take Ashe out of the trio and started playing only with Vaan and Fran. He fights with a war hammer in the front and she gives me backup with Cure and some attacks as well. Killing monsters with only two characters takes a bit longer, but the leveling got pretty faster. Both hume and viera went from 24 to 30 in a couple hours killing White Wolves, Onions, Skulls and some other monsters. Now it's time for Balthier (19) and Ashe (26), and then it will be Basch (19) and Penelo's (19) turn.
Oh, and I was also able to make some good money selling the loot I got from the monsters. After all my chars got to lv. 30, I'll go back to Rabanastre or that flying land to buy some new stuff and that includes the gambits I need for the auto-level up and maybe new weapons and magiks too. That's all, good hunting to all of you that are playing any FF game.
MMORPGs
by slipknoob on Comments
Well, I'm feeling like typing about MMORPGs right now. My favourite game series is Pokémon, a RPG. But it's different from all the rest of this kind, I always disliked RPGs (that includes MMORPGs). But thousands and thousands of people play MMORPGs (massive multiplayer online RPG), so it must have its good point - which I tried to find for years, but I still didn't -. The RPG games main characteristic is to get always stronger, customize your character, get rich, do the quests, kill monsters and stuff like these. This all sounds really cool for me, but I haven't found a MMORPG that really get into me. Check out the ones I've already played:
Tibia (ashamed of that)
Priston Tale
Runescape
Conquer
SilkRoad
Tales of Pirates
Luminary
Maple Story
From these, the one I liked the most was SilkRoad, but I played it at a lan house (a kind of cyber café) and my computer probably can't run it properly. But I keep on my quest of findind the one that matches me (and my computer capabilities).
Maybe I'm posting this because I'm playing FF XII. I stopped playing it some months ago. Not that it's a bad game, it's great, but I was disgraced! I was training in a desert for some hours and had already increased all my chars level by 5 or 6 each one. So, I went in a new area and guess what I found! A cute giant dinossaur! Our battle lasted for around ten minutes. I tried everything! Slow, Blind, Imobilize, used all my magiks, all my special powers and even summoned Belias. Guess what? I didn't take even 20% of his HP. I used all my Phoenix Downs, Hi-Potions, I really tried my best, but I lost in the end. I got so frustrated that I didn't play it for months... Many months, I guess around five or six... But I'm playing it just while I don't get my Kingdom Hearts II. It must be a great game and I'm excited about playing it.
If any of you has a suggestion of MMORPG, let me know. I really want to give a second chance to this amazing sort of game.

Self explaining topic.
If you'd like new images for your profile and have no patience or skill enough for it, just lemme know, I love making this stuff.
Here are some samples of my work. They're all logos for profile pages (not in GameSpot), all of them with animes and games themes.
Obs.: They all have a SlipKnooB water mark and are saved in half of the maximum quality (6). All the images are hosted in ImageShack, I just created TinyURLs for them, so the post wouldn't be a mess.

Me, games and GameSpot
by slipknoob on Comments
Well, I'd like to type a shortened version of my history with the consoles and my favourite games since I was a child. They are cronologically in order (that I owned them).
GBC - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Pokémon Silver
SNES - Super Mario World, a non-official Pikachu platform game, some Dragon Ball Z games
PSX - Crash Bandicoot games (all of them), Pepsi Man (wow, that was A game!), Digimon Rumble Arena, Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories, Metal Slug games
GBA - Pokémon FireRed, Medabots AX Rokusho Version
PS2 - GTA San Andreas, Bully, Dragon Ball games, Naruto games, some football games as well (though I dislike football)
DS - New Super Mario Bros., Pokémon Diamond
Wii - Mario Kart Wii, Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, Okami
Well, I joined GameSpot in the last year but I wasn't really using and accessing it. When I tried to access it, I couldn't sign in, so I created this new account.
Anyway, until now, I have written seven reviews and I intend to write many more. On the next post I'll type some stuff about games prices in Brazil and the piracy.
New Game
by slipknoob on Comments
Well, every thing has a start. My blog on GameSpot couldn't be different. Having in mind that no one's gonna read this, I'll feel comfy to post any nonsense or **** that might come to my mind.
Firstly, I've made this logo above in kinda ten minutes on PhotoFiltre, 'cause I haven't downloaded PS CS3 yet. My computer has now only 512mb RAM, so I do not intend to use it so often how I used to do. I guess this explains my avatar as well.
I'm posting this just because I don't want my blog empty. I'll post more stuff tomorrow I guess.
That's it. Ciao.
