@silv3rst0rm: You're getting more than just the base game here though. This comes with all three expansions, the latest of which was released only 3 months ago.
@RossRichard: If you're using tree branches and rusty weapons of course they are going to break after three monsters. Check back here once you've found a "royal" or "divine" weapon or any of the elemental spears.
@wrecksoul: The number of seeds needed to increase inventory goes up as you unlock more and more slots, so it isn't an added 900 inventory spaces. With that said, it is still more than enough to negate any durability issues from weapons breaking. I currently have 10 weapon slots and only use 2-3 of them at any given moment. The others are for certain situations, like a fire rod, ice rod, leaf for using rafts, and a couple high damage/high durability weapons for those "sticky" situations.
@dragonsama: I find it amusing that you try to make an argument for Nintendo's hardware being garbage for a decade, then list the Gamecube -- the most powerful console of that generation. Then you instead attack its controller, of all things, which a lot of people liked -- especially the Smash crowd. Not to mention, converters to use PS2 and Xbox controllers were dirt cheap.
If anything, the Gamecube is a prime example that power isn't the only thing that makes a great console.
@ditronus: First, the original post was deleted by mods for whatever reason. Apparently, if you make a long post that makes a clear, concise point that is not offensive and garners 30+ likes and two pages worth of replies that mostly agree with you and promotes actual discussion, it should be deleted. Your guess is as good as mine.
Second, I remember what I posted and you even admit that you don't. You having degree in business marketing had absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand. This is why I attacked it, because you were essentially putting yourself on a pedestal and saying your opinion holds more weight. Then you make this post and even go as far as to be snobbish about having said degree. Also, you seem to think I don't have a degree in higher learning myself. Guess what, I do. But unlike you, I acknowledge that my degree doesn't entitle me to snub my nose at others when my chosen profession has nothing to do with what someone else said.
Lastly, why the hell are you replying to a comment that is a month old? This discussion ended a while ago....
@7tizz: "Also, there's plenty of Xbox games ps4 owners can't play. Some of the biggest triple A titles in gaming, as a matter of fact."
Which ones? Forza 6? Gears 4? Halo 5? The only two games Xbox One has that has scored 10/10 on this website are BOTH also on PS4 (Witcher 3, Metal Gear Solid 5). In addition to those, PS4 has another 10/10 game (Uncharted 4) and a slew of 9/10 exclusives that has come out this year alone (Nier, Nioh, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Gravity Rush 2). So no, it isn't a matter of fact.
As for PC being niche, it is gaining ground as more and more people are realizing that investing in a PC is more worthwhile than sinking money into a Xbox One console that is less powerful and has the same library of games. If a person has a PC, a PS4, and a Switch, they can play literally every current game on the market. Xbox One doesn't fit in anywhere.
@cboye18: I'll preface this with I'm not a fanboy as I own every current console, most of the consoles of previous gens even obscure ones like the Turbo Grafx 16, Atari Jaguar, Neo Geo, etc, and been a gamer since the early 80's.
That said, anyone who doesn't play Breath of the Wild is doing themselves a disservice. It is a pronominal game that rekindles the magic of Ocarina of Time. Yes, there is a lot of good games on PS4 right now like Horizon: Zero Dawn and Nioh and I'm enjoying them as well. I'll be picking up Nier the moment I finish Zelda.
2017 is shaping up to be one of the best years in gaming in a long, long time. Time to celebrate the industry's return to form.
Xbox One needs to pick up the pace if they hope to not be overshadowed by PC gaming. Scorpio or not, they're going to need a Breath of the Wild quality game to sell their systems when the same experiences can be found on PC -- which offers far more.
@7tizz: correction: The Xbox crowd has plenty to play in which the same library is also available on other platforms. Name me all the games on Xbox that I can't also play on a PC or PS4. Don't worry, I'll wait.
It's not fanboyism when it's simply fact. This isn't an opinion here.
