Depends on how you view playing games. There is no better option when it comes to permanent death. For me I prefer the permanent death of a character in terms of story more than gameplay. If the permadeath affects both, I will probably continue. If however I put a lot of effort building a character and in one battle he/she falls into a permadeath state (based only on gameplay), I'm definitely resetting.
Pre-rendered backgrounds are more than enough to invoke strong emotional attachment to a game. They give off this unique stunning quality that defines each set piece in the game; and more than that the places look like they were imagined perfectly as opposed to being built with compromise.
@Riddick123 @chrisbingle chrisbingle seems pretty calm actually. It's just a lot of text. A lot of text that I also agree with but for two other game series.
Considering what the MGS series has already shown, I have to wonder what HK is so worried about. I'm willing to be it's only because the media in the U.S. has gone back a hundred steps in what they deem appropriate content. I doubt Kojima cares about violence and sexual innuendos having a problem making it through. But if the content has something to do with children, 9/11 or any recent tragedies the media will overblow the bejeezus out of it.
In general it's hard to be blown away by graphics anymore. The graphics of this gen are almost lifelike anyways. The next big leap left is completely life like.
