@xgalacticax: I don't think it being easier to develop for (if that's even true) will be the real problem. It will be how the developers perceive the public buying this system and whether or not they should invest any time and money towards developing games for it.
@inkman66: Even if this reply is crass towards the Switch, I have to agree with your sentiments to an extent in the market place. I think a lot of console goers/PC gamers and even casual gamers will look at the Switch and assume right off the bat in the commercials that it's only for handhelds or small screen play. Casual gamers will like the idea and may end up scaring off the hardcore crowd...possibly vice versa as well since the Switch may end up having an identity crisis.
@gaminsincepong: You read my mind. BoTW looks good, but for me Zelda has run its course. Metroid still has a lot of things that can be done with it. If Retro or somebody is able to make a truly high quality 2D/3D metroid like what Team Ninja attempted I'll be satisfied for years.
It looks..interesting. I just hope there aren't any gimmick modes made as a requirement to do necessary functions like the Wii U had: aka having to use the gamepad to purchase games and change the Wii U settings. Also the same with the games. No forced gimmick controls.
@lostn: Actually it was great from the people that actually played it. Also that wasn't the only thing they played. Edit: The only part of FFXV they played. It's a wonder what actually playing a game entails about it. Whouda thunk?
