@dramaybaz It doesn't do enough to be a 10. A game for instance can have no flaws, but that doesn't mean it excels enough. This game has a good story and gameplay...but how good
One really important thing: Can we save anywhere and anytime without having to travel across long ass distances? GTA4 had an autosave, but only 1 per console, plus you could only auto save after finishing a mission or something.
@El_Zaggy @19James89 One of the worst. Skyward Sword is easily the worst with very jarring motion controls in swimming and flying, as well as the constant centering issue when changing items.
@nightsavior @swyg I'm all for pushing the envelope, actually. It just needs to be consistent with the entirety of what you're presenting, otherwise it's lazy and/or contradicts your initial direction.
One simple thing Kojima could do is to show that Quiet was stripped down to her bikini, (I'm thinking during the interrogation) that way it would make sense....at least until she actually found more clothes.
@adwerk @swyg That's highly unlikely. If she is truly committed to looking sexy because of her personality, she would do so while not minding quite a lot of sunburn, because that is what would happen in this situation if it were real. We can't say for certain that she won't get any sunburn, but given how these things usually play out, it's safe to assume she wont. I'm almost certain her personality is one part badass; and then the other part of her is to mope alot or be like a tsundere (as the Japanese would call it)
The problem isn't about sex or misogyny. It's about the integrity and relevance of the art you are portraying. What purpose does Quiet wearing a bikini in the desert have? What kind of substance does it provide that is legitimate to the story? It takes away from the integrity of the product and shows that the direction wants to cater to the lowest common denominator. Fanservice is never a good thing to put into a story.
It doesn't even have to be sexual for this kind of crap to blemish a game or movie. Rule of thumb: If it looks ridiculous or over-dramatized, best to never add it.
