@Mirimon78: I was obviously joking and being sarcastic with an assumption of my own, figured the smile and wink emoticon wouldve suggested that.

I think we're done here, the system sold well in North America regardless of what you come up with to suggest it didn't. If the console failed as bad as you seemed to think it did MS wouldn't have bothered with the XB1 and sure as hell wouldn't have wasted time with Scorpio.

Say what you will, you don't work for MS and you aren't a professional analyst, you're worse, you're a armchair analyst with flimsy numbers you manipulate to support your "facts", of which you truly have none.

And I am a PC gamer, care to know my specs top to bottom? Better yet, can you post pictures in discussions? I'll gladly write a note with your stupid name on it, and tape it to my PC and post it.

@Mirimon78: Christ dude, my point is the system sold well in North America, and it did and you know it, but this incessant downplaying of yours is more of an indicator of your loyalty towards another brand.

You don't have facts, you have assumptions, spin, and numbers you've abused to support your agenda. If anything YOU ignored game sales when attempting to make your point. You're the one pleading your case here lol.

Do I think MS is embarrassed over the worldwide reception of the Xbox brand? Yes, but do I think US audiences preferred the Xbox brand during the 360s run? No question.

Shit, I remember the 360 launch and the demand for it being insane, during the PS3s launch you could walk in a store the day after launch and find one. The price tag alone made the 360 the preferred console for quite some time.

I don't work for GameStop (anymore) OR Best Buy I might add, you pawn shop owners shouldn't make such silly accusations ;)

I only worked at GameStop for 6 months, but I was there for the 360 launch, and it was insane.

@Mirimon78: Emotional ties to a brand name? Okay, remove your head from your butt, and then take off the tinfoil hat.

I'm a PC gamer and Playstation gamer first and foremost, as far as consoles go I've preferred the Playstation brand since the PS2 and onward (I vastly prefer the PS4 for gaming over the XB1). So please don't start accusing me of being a MS fanboy with an agenda because I'm not, I just know the 360 was popular and sold well in North America. For one the price had quite a bit to do with it, and I KNOW more Americans were gravitating towards the 360 over the PS3 over price alone.

Also, look at attachment rate and amount of games sold and you might get an idea of how many consoles there are out there, or at least a better understanding than the fanboy math you're claiming. It's well documented that WAY more people played games online over Xbox Live than they did the PSN during the 360 and PS3 gen of consoles, it's wasn't even close. Hell, the MS brand was so damn popular stateside it was basically the "go to" console for competitive play across the country, including the MLG, and that says something, it says it's the preferred console. I wanna say the insanely popular PS4 has taken that baton and ran with it since.

Either way, I've no reason to believe you until you can provide me with something better than YOUR version of the truth. Seems to me like the only one here with severe brand loyalty is you, because it's obvious you've something against MS and apparently prefer Sony.

@Mirimon78: No no no, I need FACTUAL proof as in documentation or links to legit sales figures, not your armchair analyst mathematical equation that supposedly proves your point.

I want to see legit North American sales, no "take this and subtract that and you have the FACTS!" nonsense. I'm sorry, that's not factual evidence, that's fanboy math.

@deakenblack: In theory yes, but just about any cancelled game "could" be awesome, but sometimes it's better to wonder what if than to actually get the product.

Some ideas sound much better on paper, with Colonial Marines it was something different, it was laziness and deception.

@Mirimon78: Pretty sure it was popular in the UK as well, and how was the 360 being given away like candy?

Do you have proof that MS claimed replacement consoles as an additional "sale"? As in factual proof, or is that an assumption and claim of yours?

In fact, do you have factual proof to support ANYTHING you're saying?

You sound more bitter towards MS than someone without bias simply stating facts. So, unless you can provide me with facts to support your claim, you're wrong lol, but I'll gladly eat crow if you can prove me otherwise.

I love how they waited until shortly after the Holidays to inform people of this. Guess they didn't want to miss out on any sales from people looking forward to getting this game to play on their new XB1s lol. Oh well, a sale is a sale.

@scottyp360: MS has come out and said the Scorpio is meant for those wanting a "premium" experience, and there "no one left behind stance" is more in reference to the idea that the Xbox One S and Scorpio will coexist in the same family of consoles, except one will be a cheaper entry level (the Xbox One S) and the other the premium experience meant for those willing to spend more $$$ (Scorpio).

@scottyp360: The Xbox One S offers HDR, 4K upscaling for games and 1080p bluray movies, and 4K Bluray playback.

It also comes with a slightly tweaked CPU that allows for more stable performance in games. Quite a few games have seen increases in framerate as a result, The Witcher 3 gains about 5-7fps according to the analysis that have been done. My guess is it does more to stabilize the framerate in games that had bad framerates to begin with.

This is the type of game that has me leaning towards getting a Playstation 4 Pro.

I read the other day Zero Dawn will make good use of the Pro hardware. It won't be native 4K, but I read textures will be improved and the game will use checkerboard rendering (1800p upscaled to 4K).

Looking forward to reading more about it.
