I have to agree, if they go back to the chalkboard and redesign it in a similar vein to idk, the 3DS (except maybe a little more like the regular DS because the 3DS hurts your fucking hands). I mean if they really thought this was the optimal way to hold the system why didn't they make it that way in the first place?
(See's article's title) SWEET! Now I can finally play 3DS games without having to get overcharged for gimmicky 3D bullshit! (Sees layout of the new handheld) **** me...
Damn, EA. Is it just me or ever since you got a new CEO your starting to not be as shitty? I mean Origin is getting some improvements, the EA Humble Bundle was amazing, were finally getting Battlefront 3, and a few other things that I'm to tired to remember, and now this? Not to say that I have become an EA fan or anything close, but in the last few months I'd say I've seen more decisions I like from EA than decisions I don't, and maybe someday EA will finally be a company I can like again.
Not gonna lie, I hate EA quite a lot. But I also am going to admit they did REALLY good here. I bought\ it as soon as I saw it and even if it wasn't for charity I wouldn't have regretted a thing. You scored some points here EA, just try to keep it up from here.
@BatmanForever47 @vault-boy That I don't really mind so long as he doesn't talk to much, Sam Fisher wasn't ever an interesting character so I wouldn't care if he was voiced be Tom Kenny doing his Spongebob voice so long as I can skip the cutscenes... actually no Spongebob as Sam Fisher would be fucking awesome.
@proceeder God damn, your still pissed about The Last of Us. Its this kind of thing that makes me have to laugh because finding the humor in it is the only way for it to not be so damn sad.
@DARKSPACE @vault-boy True, I just noticed that and was about to fix it. I can still see it trippling that amount of sales over the XBones lifetime, partially because XBone players will buy spares/replacements and also because the PC gaming crowd is getting bigger and bigger, and the Xbox controller is usually the go-to for playing platformers and racing games on the PC. Not to say that spending that much money is a good idea, but they'll probably turn a profit on it.
@DARKSPACE This is just a guesstimate, but I'm going to bet its a $40 profit for every controller after all costs have been fingured in, so 2.5 million units sold would make up for the development cost. That might seem crazy but considering the Xbox 360 controller was widely regarded as the superior controller for use on the PC I can see the new one selling 2.5 million to PC gamers alone over the nest 8 years (2.5/8=.3125 million a year, .3125/12=.026 milion a month, or 26000 units a month. I can see that happening very easily).
