I imagine there will be more footage of Starfield seeing as how that is Bethesda's big heavy hitter AAA title but I am actually hoping for more games we are not even expecting to show up and get us all excited.
Trying to avoid spoilers has already been a monumental task but I will try my best to keep it going for another 2 months.
While I am a little reluctant that this movie will reach the same heights as Broly I am still super excited to see it; especially with the time jump. Gonna' have to get the popcorn ready!
Finally, Silent Hills... Errr, I mean... a new horror game from Kojima! 😉
Whatever this title ends up being I'm glad we are finally getting some horror from kojima. PT was probably one of the freakiest demos I have ever played in my life so I know I'm going to need years of therapy when this game is released, lol.
I'm also starting to get Christopher Nolan vibes from Kojima in the sense that he seems to use a lot of the same talent for his work. Christopher Nolan seems to use a tried and true list of actors in all of his films in some capacity and I wouldn't be surprised if Kojima is heading down this path as well.
A part of me is conflicted, however. One part of me is absolutely thrilled it will continue but the other half says "It needs to end where it's creator left off and that anything else can only ruin it."
The one good thing is that it's not like it will stray too far from the original plot Miura had in mind so that is a positive.
Whatever the case, this news really makes me happy.
I'm a huge fan of E3 but even I am a little apprehensive of this actually happening.
The fact that E3 was absent this year is probably the biggest indication that something is happening with gamers favorite trade show.
That worry is only compounded with recent activity (or lack thereof.) over the past 5 years in regards to big developers choosing to skip out on the festivities; I'm talking about before covid too.
I would LOVE to see an E3 next year that has Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and all the usual suspects (Ubisoft, Bethesda, Capcom, etc...) all in attendance but I can't help but feel that some of these companies have moved on in terms of their approach for showcases and reveals.
Hopefully E3 2023 has enough "pull" to draw many of these developers back to gaming's Superbowl.
