Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving today, not one of my favorite holidays but it was still a fun day for me.

I always head up to Cleveland during the holidays, so when Christmas comes around I'll be heading back up there again.

My Thanksgiving was alright, watched the football games, ate lots of food, relaxed for the rest of the day, and finally headed home.

I hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving.

Sonic Unleashed.

I got Sonic Unleashed yesterday for the Xbox 360. I was really looking forward to getting it mainly because of it's 3D and 2D level designs, they remind me of the old Genesis games.

So far Sonic Unleashed is a good game. It's a vast improvement over previous 3D Sonic games. The graphics are great, the controls work well, and the camera has been fixed.

My only complaint are the Werehog levels. At first I thought they were going to be alright, but they're slow and very repetitive.

But overall, Sonic Unleashed is a pretty good game, and it's definitely worth checking out.

Gears of War 2.

Picked up Gears of War 2 on Sunday, and just beat it a few days ago.

All I can say that Gears of War 2 is a great game. It's longer, has more action, new weapons, great environments, good sound, and stunning graphics.

My only complaint about the game is the plot. It doesn't really build off the first Gears of War, and not a lot of background information is revealed.

Still, it's a great game. If you liked the first Gears of War, you'll definitely like the second one.

Movie Recommendation #24.

Well that special time of the year has once again come and gone. My Halloween was alright, I passed candy to all the kids, and decided to watch horror movies all night.

Movie: Dawn of the Dead, 1978.

Plot: A horrific pandemic in which the dead are returning to life to feed on the living is sweeping the entire world. The cause of this phenomenon remains unknown, but as it continues to spread, mass panic is erupting everywhere as citizens try desperately to fight and escape the endless hordes of the living dead. Four friends in Philadelphia named Roger, (Scott H. Reiniger) Peter, (Ken Foree) Stephen (David Emge) and Francine (Gaylen Ross) decide to flee the city by helicopter in hopes of finding a safer place to hide out and survive. The group travels to a mall outside the city, with plenty of food and supplies they decide to hold out in the mall for as long as they can. After barricading themselves into the shopping center, the four friends begin to start a new life together. Although safe from the countless living dead, the group begins to witness the collapse of civilization, and the end of humanity itself.

One of the most important and critically acclaimed horror films ever created, Dawn of the Dead helped pave the way the modern horror genre we have today. After thirty years since its release, Dawn of the Dead still remains as one of the most popular horror films, and one of the best action packed bloodbaths you'll ever see.

Saw V.

The latest installment of the hit horror, mystery, thriller franchise Saw was released yesterday.

I went and "saw" Saw V last night, and the theater was sold out. I've been a fan of Saw because of its different direction in the horror genre, and its endings that reveal a shocking twist. I'll just give quick thoughts on the previous Saw films.

Saw- A well crafted thriller, and the most innovative and original film I've seen in years. The first Saw is one of my all-time favorite horror films.

Saw II and III- Good follow-ups, keeps the same formula and tone and connects well to the first film very well.

Saw IV- Probably the weakest link in the chain of Saw films. A somewhat confusing plot, and a cliffhanger leaving viewers with more questions than answers.

After seeing Saw V last night, all I can say that it was a pretty good film. Saw V connects to all four previous installments, and answers many of the questions we were all asking about at the end of Saw IV.

Last, the games aren't over yet. Saw VI is planned to be released for Halloween 2009.

Dead Space.

It's been awhile, almost a month to be exact. Not a lot of stuff going on personally, I've been busy with school so not much is happening.

Well, today I bought Dead Space. The sci-fi horror game that came out a few days ago. Normally I'm not into survival horror games, but Dead Space really caught my interest with it's concept, plot, and game environment.

So far I can say it's a great game and it definitely deserves the praise it has been receiving.

But wow, this has to be the most scariest game I have ever played. I thought I had seen it all in F.E.A.R., Resident Evil 4, and BioShock. But Dead Space blows them all away in terms of horror and gore.

So it's a great game. But if you're like me, don't play it at night.

Left in the Dark.

On Sunday, the remains of Hurricane Ike swept through Ohio. The winds were up to 70 miles per hour, close to category one hurricane winds to be exact. The wind storm swept through my neighborhood leaving debris, and knocking down trees; including one that fell right in front of my house. Nearly all the power lines in central Ohio were down.

I haven't had power since Sunday, and today it was finally restored. For the past few days, we used a generator to power some stuff like the fridge and the T.V. but it was still pretty annoying not to have full power.

I'll try and catch up with guys as soon as I can, but right now I just want ease back and relax for a bit.

Righteous Kill.

A movie I've been looking forward to ever since I heard it was coming out. Righteous Kill stars two of my all-time favorite actors. Robert DeNiro, (Taxi Driver, GoodFellas) and Al Pacino. (The Godfather, Scarface)

Righteous Kill was pretty good. It's about two veteran police officers (DeNiro and Pacino) who are hunting a serial killer who kills criminals who weren't brought to justice. Both DeNiro and Pacino were great as cops, the film also had some funny moments as well.

If you like crime thrillers, you might want to check this out.

9/11 Anniversary.

It's been seven years since that tragic day. I can't believe it's been that long. Even now, I still remember everything that happened on that day. It's a day I'll never forget.

My thoughts and prayers go out to every single person who died that day, along with our brave soldiers fighting overseas.

Last Day of Summer.

Well, it's back to school tomorrow. Not exactly looking forward to another year at high school. All I can say is that I had a lousy summer. No vacation, or anything fun. Just same dull day everyday. Oh well, since summer flew by so fast I guess the same thing will happen to the school year as well.

The only thing I'm hoping this year, is that everything goes well.
