@jayjay444 You're kidding, right? The PS1 absolutely destroys the N64, without question. N64 had a few games that were practically genre-defining, but I mean no exaggeration when I say 'a few'. The PS1 was absolutely loaded with fantastic games.
@MALEVOLENT312 I disagree. They'll lower the price once again after the next-gen consoles drop, and we'll see a much cheaper alternative for new gaming hardware, even if it's dated, and people WILL buy it. Especially after some games actually come out.
Reggie is full of shit but I remember everyone talking down on Nintendo when the Wii first launched, and look at what a phenomenon that became.
Despite my dislike for Nintendo these days, I have a good feel that most of you are wrong. I keep seeing people say that the Wii U will become totally irrelevant once the next-gen starts, but I find this hard to believe. Once they get some games out, they'll lower the console price again, especially with $400-$500 consoles next to the Wii U on the shelves. Just like last generation, the Wii U will become the cheaper gamers console.
Again, I dislike Nintendo, and Reggie Fils-Aime is a complete douchebag who I'll never like even remotely, but don't count them out just yet.
@Lachesis_001 @yearssomuch I don't have a DS, and I'm pretty sure the entire point of the 2DS is to provide entry-level pricing to those who don't have the console, which is exactly what it's done for me. I wanted a 3DS at launch but was unwilling to pay the price for it, especially since I didn't give a damn about the 3D to begin with.
If not being able to fold it is your biggest peeve with the hardware, get a 3DS and stop crying, since $40 is chump change to you.
@BrutalPandaX2 @StonerDemon As I said, people just like to complain. Tablets are everywhere these days, so the fact that they adapted the 3DS to a tablet model, while keeping the same design intact, shouldn't come as much of a surprise. In fact, it'll probably be viewed positively upon release, by those who actually use it. The rest of the internet gaming community will spend the rest of their time crying about the shortcomings of products they've never even held.
@Lachesis_001 Maybe you don't understand percentages, but a $40 price cut off a $170 unit is a pretty substantial cut. But logic doesn't work too well with your kind, huh?
