Issue 52

what an underwhelming read.

sure, fallout: new vegas and halo reach are featured but nothing much else got me going.

i am trying to sell my march copy of gameinformer for $5NZ. if someone has seen my advertising then please consider buying. if you do not have that issue, i might give or sell it away to the library. but it is almost useless if the library does not keep up buying the publication and i know they donot now.

congratulations to mohammed jalal. he got two letters of his on the x-box magazine editorial page in separate issues. who'd have thunk it?

i played the demo of tropico 3 yesterday afternoon for three hours. wow, it brought me back to games like simcity, which was an enormous success. my objective in the demo was to export 8000 units of produce off the island to bring in income then win the mission.

it was fun precisely placing buildings just how i wanted them. throughout most of my game time i got lost being qwerty the dictator or el presidente and my thought drifted off the mission objective. my x-box 360 struggled with tropico 3 however, the game was not being processed well.

what was puzzling was why my seventy people of tropico dissapproved of my dictating despite me upgrading their housing, building a church on a hill then a clinic! i even hired two specialists from overseas for the church and clinic but nah, my approval was between 36 and 38.

i was keeping my people happy, i thought, but somehow they did not like me. it must have been because of bad publicity. an anti-communist agenda by the media? most of my population were capitalist! a fun game from playing the demo. strategetic, immersive and time consuming.

i do think i do not do this enough which is talk about games.

yesterday i was in dse browsing x-box 360 games. i saw avatar for an incredible $109NZ. $10NZ compared to their neighbour, harvey norman. operation flashpoint: dragonrising seems interesting, that was $130NZ. people are right to suggest buying online and rummaging through bargain bins because you can see some prices that are unbelievable. the demo discs that are included with each issue of x-box magazine are valuable too.

buying online such as mightyape is good for games that would not make it in stores. leisuresuit larry is one of those games. you can even review them to give a yay or nay.

in new zealand, eb games is likely the best to deal with about games personally in knowledge. dse could arguably be number two by a nose with jb-hi fi?

k-mart and farmers got out of the gaming business years ago. i remember clearly when i owned a ps2 in 2008before i jumped ship to x-box 360 in 2009, they had a clearance sale. you should have seen the people! i bought rockstars bully and gran turismo 3 for $50NZ, both.

it is a month from today until splinter cell convictions release. i want to pop off every baddie in sight! muwahahaha!

Osama-smamah

i listened to my first podcast last night, from the bbc. it asked the question,"is al-qaeda winning?". knowing the bbc, and being rather dominant on television in this country, it is somewhat understandable why they would be more constructive and understanding than some smarmy american journalists.

in the podcast the bbc journalist asks a researcher or analyst of al-qaeda whether osama bin ladens goal was to 'take over' the world with allahs words. he said,"yes". but that contradicts what i read from an american website, wikipedia.

throughout the first part of the documentary it expresses the views of both sides, christian and muslim. at the begginning a boy is meditating to music reminding him of al zaqwiri, on the muslim side. then a christian or zionist strumming his own tune on the other.

it is funny that pentagon boss robert gates said in the bbc interview that in other words, they were bringing this on themselves. making osama a trademark, a household name via the internet, through media. and damn, i agree. it is propaganda.

an army recruit makes the point that fighting al-qaeda with the military is a "blunt instrument". he means it is somewhat useless. intelligence is important given that.

Happy Birthday!

the man everyone loves to hate, osama, is now 53. according to a 1998 interview he gave his birth date as march 10th, 1957.

apparently on 60 minutes recently, osama has not been seen in seven years. that re-inforces my belief that he is dead and the information is being withheld by the c.i.a., f.b.i, or another united states government agency and or organisation.

since osama has not been charged and is not wanted for the famous 9/11 attacks, who is?

i remember the declaration from osama on the 'd-day' of al-qaeda via al-jazeera in my bedroom on september 12th, 2001! i was 15. something does not gel even today.

i had one in osamas honour last night. the beer was danish.

Osama, Where Art Thou?

i have been thinking about doing this entry over what has been like a week. the time has come.

wikipedia i have been relying on almost every day for information. i downloaded then printed three pages of the man who apparently admitted to the attacks (9/11) in 2004 but is not wanted or has been charged for the attacks.

bin laden, osama, is likely already dead. i believe that the c.i.a. knows this but the news that would otherwise cause a parade is being withheld. if that is true, the united states government has alot to answer for.

in a philosophical manner i sit here and ask myself how those attacks, on world trade and military purposes fell through the cracks. it almost makes me braindead or use of a better word, disillusioned. since barack h. obama has been in power since 2009 this war on terrorism has trailed off to an ideological battle within the country. however, it is easy to be misled by the zionist media.

but then jews within these large media organizations become critics themselves and accuse those personally who oppose as being anti-semitic; even if the critique was constructive.

could al-qaeda be freedom fighters? i think this could be true. it has been overlookedby many, many people because of thecluster**** which is cnn, fox, nbc... all the letters of the alphabet.

personally, given how prolonged the two wars have been i do feel there have been missed opportunitys to have if taken, a big step toward ending the two wars. it has been stupid. during my last paragraphs i asked myself whether given osama being likely dead or on the verge of death as you read this whether there is much use in talking about a dead man? probably not.

to end, i am a victim of terrorism by the hand of liberty herself. it is because of people, presidents like george bush snr. and george bush jnr. that the world is this way. so messed up. i have wished death on the man before and i will again. and guess what? i am glad i am an enemy of their state and people.

go to ****, both of you. :|

Two Down, United States Championship Is Next

chavo does it again. after winning against kane at the unforgiven pay per view, he is your new intercontinental champion. and kane, he is no push over. but after the sledgehammer twice and a 4x2 with barbed wire once, that slowed him down. it was a fluke to have set the match to no disqualification (as i was tired and not thinking clearly) to ensure an easy victory against that giant by using those weapons. when i was playing i was reminded of his older gimmick as a wrestling dentist in the wwf era. many people think that was a bad gimmick.

yes, the x-box 360 console is letting me win each match so easily. i will likely set the game to legend when i play next time. i got almost two hours in tonight.

i am beginning to like chavo guerrero more and more when i play him in smackdown vs. raw 2009. he is likeable. he performs three moves that i cannot get enough of. the moonsault from the top rope first and foremost, german uppercut and flip when his opponent is down on the mat. a great wrestling superstar.

say goodbye to your cruiserweight champion and now new intercontinental champion.

the man himself, but without his belts.

Avatar

after almost being done with avatar, i said to myself that i was still immersing myself in the game today while i was giving it a third go. given the 5.5 gamespot has rated the game at, but the 7 x-box magazine gave it, that i feel is fitting. i think it is a virtual world that is worth a second look with or without seeing the movie.

if you think avatar, being a movie cash in, is not a game worth your time playing? you can exclude avatar as a game from that conception of movie cash in games sucking eggs.

the game is easy to play with simple controls. a tip is that those vicious dingo creatures cannot harm you on the horse creatures even when you are on the marble patterned horse (i do not know their movie names) and not moving.

one of the reviewers of gamespot was very critical of avatar, but well spoken.

to end this entry somewhat suddenly, do not pay over one hundred dollars for this game. you could rent avatar and marathon the amazon like world of pandora then pat yourself on the back if completed. or, buy online but at a steep reduced price. shop around.

avatar has been compared to the invasion of afghanistan and iraq.

Save Water, Drink Beer

... but do not drink aqua lite. i had my third can since i began drinking this drink late last year and it is still not what it claims, has too much sugar in the drink, and has so much sugar in the "new recipe" that it is even more than coca cola. i know because i compared two cans of either against each other. spring water my ***. from what i saw on the shelf, there were so many of the cans there, i suspect they are not selling well.

do not be sold on how cheap the drink is. eighty nine cents at countdown at the moment, that could be another sign of sales. because the drink is a health risk to me and who knows how many others. avoid aqua lite and shop for other drinks instead.

i recommend yeos lychee drink from malaysia. that drink is certainly an import and can be found at the same but selected supermarkets for only ten cents more for each can. you can even buy the drink in juice boxes of six. it is strangely addictive. i am sure you could order online from off the countdown website if you are not in the larger cities of new zealand then have it delivered to you. at least that might not keep you up till 1:30am in the morning unlike that other juiced up rubbish.

i poured most of it out on the street when i actually felt it screw up my brain almost instantly after my first gulp.

geez louise. you can drink aqua lite, red bull, v... either of the others if you play counterstrike through the night, however. that is your choice.

finally, i asked this kid a question earlier this week after he ordered one of those large, tall plastic cups of frozen cola that mcdonalds is stillselling out. i asked him whether he got high from that. he said no. that is why i said that aqua lite and now other drinks like aqua lite may only be a health risk to some people.

Virtual Anarchy

forgive me for being square but i want to talk about anarchy.

i want to talk about this virtual anarchy which is the internet. i am asking whether because of this tool we have evolved over the years to be a better world. one of the answers to my question would include obviously all the bad aspects of this virtual anarchy which is the internet.

according to karl of the simpsons fame pornography makes up ninety percent of the internet. you can also learn how to make explosives, download pirated software and generally just hack your way to an easy life on the coast of costa rica.

being more serious, the internet. i remember asking myself whether the internet could have been policed openly during the boom time from the mid nineties throughout until two thousand and three. in my opinion the internethas gone through a second boom which has recently ended with mainly social networking becoming a part of our everyday lives.

i have a theory which could seem like a joke to many but the world wide web is a name for the internet which is exactly that, like a spider who poisons then eats captured prey in their webs. the internet might have no 'police force' that you can simply chat to over the web, but the entirety of the net is just a tool for information that is continually catching more and more unsuspecting users.

the internet is a virtual anarchy. like technology, it will only get biggerbut in the internets case, not so much, better. i asked myself today whether because ofthis web of information that began from the pentagonwe are becoming better societies the world over.
