I think the deal is that women tend to excell in English & Writing while men tend to excell in Math & Science.

you probably should of titled your post "why are scientists all men",

but Dr. Susan Greenfield and Madam Curie spring to mind.

Problem is that equal right will never ever fully exist, it is why alot of women are still finding it hard to get corperate jobs, army etc. But it is also unfair on men, so many scholarships are available for women in certain academic fields but none for men and vice versa.

Actually, I believe it is vice-versa on average. That is why populations at most major universities leans towards the female side.

If they were to take an IQ test with the concecus, you could probably tell if that's true...but even if it is, its awfully rude to present it in the way you have...

I see many "facts" in this thread, particularly by women I assume, but no links or proof for those "facts." More women in med school than men? Nurses don't count. I think it was proven that men are generally smarter than women. I heard that from my Biology professor so I can't provide proof over the Internet.

We're smarter than each other in different areas, and it depends on your idea of what's smart, like which aspects of thinking are better than others. For example men are more likely to turn to violence while women are usually subject to be overly compassionate to the tiniest things...Like talking to housecats when they don't understand you...

men are smarter per average. i also believe we have more common sense, MUCH better drivers, and are better athletes as well. The only thing that a woman can do better than a man is point out all our flaws and every single little thing we did wrong from the first second they met us. So I guess women would win the better memory category.

Yeah you know what I mean. Some women (my mom in particular) would call anything cute, and anythign really, like if she saw a blue car or a pencil she'll go "Oh, that's cute...". I mean calling inanimate object cute is just beyond...ugghh, you just kind of cringe hearing it after a while.

"Enjoy" would be inaccurate. To entertain your question, I would have to explain my reasons, which I am not.

I don't bother wasting excessive time on sexist threads.

A simple "No, they're not" is sufficiant. He asked, I answered.

Assumptions are just an easy way of justifying one's ideals.

A simple question would eliminate assumption. So, unless one is unable to speak, hand signal, or lacking of hands completely, assumption is easily avoidable.

foxhound_fox

The only reason a higher amount of women are getting into universities, is because of special treatment. All the equal rights crap and women's rights groups have literally forced hundreds of women into positions men better deserve. Yeah, i said it.

Men are better at some things than women. Unfortuanatly, we live in a world where Woman are arrogant enough to think otherwise, and some men are becoming ignorant enough to believe them. God bless our modern world.

med-school isn't where nurses go to study. and here, you want links, have some:

http://media.www.bcheights.com/media/storage/paper144/news/2004/06/01/Features/More-Women.Than.Men.Pursue.MedSchool-682545.shtml

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0DXK/is_21_20/ai_111854736

http://www.bio-medicine.org/medicine-news/More-Women-Medical-Graduates-Than-Men-22652-1/

I also have a friend in med school who was the one who informed me her classes were mainly filled with women. she said at her school, about two thirds of the class were women.

also, it makes me laugh that men claim that they are smarter, when they have kept women from pursuing knowledge for thousands of years, and only in the past century we have seen women finally have the right to pursue knowledge at an equal level to men. and in that past century, we have seen women catch up incredibly. here's a link with to prove this:

http://education-portal.com/articles/Leaving_Men_Behind:_Women_Go_to_College_in_Ever-Greater_Numbers.html

note this paragraph:

Research has shown that women get better grades, study harder, party less and take advantage of more opportunities than men. Many male college students report being less concerned about good grades and more uncertain abut future career plans than their female peers.

Guys listen to this one... You might actually learn something (your probably all to narrow-minded though based on your previous posts).

[QUOTE="MotherSuperior"]I'm afraid assumptions are all that is possible over the Internet._Marisa_

Assumptions are just an easy way of justifying one's ideals.

A simple question would eliminate assumption. So, unless one is unable to speak, hand signal, or lacking of hands completely, assumption is easily avoidable.

First sentence doesn't make sense. And on an Internet forum, assumptions are much faster than asking multiple questions to get complete facts in order to propose a simple question. I simply stated PMS and bleeding still do occur during pregnancy. Yes, even at 8 months. Look it up. Also, you are also assuming we all believe you are pregnant. I have no reason to doubt your sincerity but it is still an assumption.
