Wow. That's torture pretty much. This is the final video I'm watching- I might have to make sure the meat I eat is humanely raised and killed.
Animals bred for slaughter will die either way. There are bigger problems to complain about like the millions of humans that die every day.StealthMonkey4Yeah and we don't bother to help those that do. We, as in humanity. So humans die because of human inaction.. and they find themselves in that position because of general human stupidity. But why should animals suffer because of us as well?
Exactly, this is what gets me. I'm not sure what to do anymore.I don't like seeing this kind of stuff, because I don't know what I can do about it.
How do we know, when we buy meat from places, how the animals were treated in the process?
How are you supposed to know?
It's all just so frustrating -.-tepni
The real travesty here is that happier animals taste better than what those poor things do. :( If they're going to bred them for slaughter, they can at least give the animals a little to look forward to before it reaches my stomach.
I will admit that I eat meat myself and I'm sure I will never stop eating them but that doesn't meat that certian plants should treat them like this. But here is the thing, not all plants do this, there are many who kill them in a quick painless death and don't abuse them when they were alive so only these slaughter places like these in that video have nasty people. But like I said I'm still going to eat meat.

No euphemisms? You're losing your edge.
My edge is lost because my sword has gone limp and flaccid.Spoke too soon it seems.

Speaking of doing things too soon-- You proved your point, Theo; no need to shove it in his face. The video is screwed up and makes me feel sorry for them. However, you might as well eat the meat anyway; it'll assure that they don't die in vain.
I thought that wouldn't shock me but it did. I don't understand how those people could be so violent on defenceless animals for fun. I lightly kicked a pigeon a while ago and I still feel terrible :? But like Tepni said, there's nothing we can do about it. If I became vegetarian it would still happen.tofu-lion91

Not a good way of looking at it. The money you spend goes to the places who do this kind of stuff. The video is screwed up and makes me feel sorry for them. However, you might as well eat the meat anyway; it'll assure that they don't die in vain.

>Foie gras (pronounced /fwɑːˈɡrɑː/ in English; French for "fat liver") Stopped reading right there.[QUOTE="-Big_Red-"] True. Wild animals tend to taste better.... Or so I've heard. I dunno about wild animals, but I know that happiness brings health benefits to any creature, which will tend to make it better to eat.Wrong...

Is that supposed to be some winning phrase that wins all arguments and makes the opponents point be less valid?Wrong...

You know, the problem presented in this video is an indication that there are simply too many Humans. With so many people to feed (billions), Humanity is forced to resort to the mass and systematic killing of animals. As screwed up as the video is, as omnivorous creatures who like meat, this is inevitable. If there were fewer Humans who did things the old fashioned way (Hunting and gathering), I'm pretty sure the problem wouldn't be this severe and wouldn't be any worse than a predator taking out its prey the natural way. The only solution is to decrease the Human population. These mass and systematic killings are only one of the many problems caused by the needs of the billions of Humans that roam this Earth. I personally think that the best way of killing the animals is to quickly behead them with a single stroke; the rapid decrease in cranial blood pressure will assure that the loss of consciousness occurs quickly.
This needs to stop, and it's terrible, but not all slaughterhouses are like this. The video only shows the absolute worst of the worst.

Because we're animals and we're omnivores, people have hunted meat for thousands of years, it's no different than if we stab the spear into the animal ourselves or if large companies mass murder them for convenience.
