First off, let me get this straight: I am not trying to prove anyone wrong by going into some big debate with you guys. I do this only for research purposes. I'm merely wondering what you guys believe backs up your theory of no god. That is all.

I don't believe in God because there's no evidence of god, quite simple really. The question should be how come people believe in god with no evidence.
the better question is: why do atheists feel that people are really interested in their argument about god? whenever they get the chance they will start talking **** about how science did this, and research did that, and homosexuality has been observed in 10000000 species.GazaAliI think someone is going to say the opposite...........
No empirical evidence.solid_marioLike everyone else in the thread, this's my answer. It's illogical to believe in something without evidence of it's existence. I also step from "Well I've no way of knowing, maybe he has a decent reason for hiding for 2000 years" to "there is no god" through the reasoning that any loving god would not damn people to hell just because they possess the ability to apply logic to their beliefs.
Lol @ people who are asking for evidence of God to believe in it.oh_bossnobody is asking for evidence because there isn't any
[QUOTE="Brainkiller05"][QUOTE="oh_boss"]Lol @ people who are asking for evidence of God to believe in it.oh_bossnobody is asking for evidence because there isn't any That's the point. so why believe in him? because people can't prove he doesn't exist? pretty weak reason to believe in something.
I admit the idea of living happily ever after in heaven with god and family members sounds fantastic, but let's be realistic here  that's not going to happen

People are often saying, that there is evidence for the world being a certain way and not for there being a God. That is not the real question. Therefore science (which created it), must also exist.[QUOTE="KungfuKitten"][QUOTE="JML897"]People are often saying, that there is evidence for the world being a certain way and not for there being a God. oh yeah thats rite , this giant universe , the humans , everything , oh yeah it all came by itself , no one created them ! come on people the evidence is one thing , everything is an evidence , just because we are so intelligenty we reached the moon ?? you want a scientific evidence , then can anybody explain were did this universe come from ?? if your answer is the BIG BANG or the atoms , well from were did they come from ??gubrushadowperhaps the universe is magic? that's more likely than there being a magical being coming out of nothingness to create everything.

Some people say 'i don't believe in God because of lack of evidence.' I say 'The idea of empirical evidence is as hard to defend as the idea of God.' I never meant that i didn't believe that science existed. Stop twisting my words it was very clear what i meant.[QUOTE="Brainkiller05"] "a method of learning about the physical universe by applying the principles of the scientific method, which includes making empirical observations, proposing hypotheses to explain those observations, and testing those hypotheses in valid and reliable ways" yep science definitely exists Gallion-Beast

So you'll happily believe a magical being came into existence from nothing and created everything but you wont believe the universe is capable of doing "magic" stuff such as coming into existence from nothing? Your level of thinking is so primitive it's pointless debating, you're just going to keep asking "well then who created the stuff that made the universe come into existence" it doesn't work like that, you know that.

Or when there was thunder, it was God being angry ofcourse once science explained why this stuff happened you people stopped saying such things.

How did God come into existence then? Surely something had to create him right?
