Wow. This game is just incredible. Set's the bar for VR, this is the new standard. Classic Half-Life immersion without the cinematic bullshit found in other games, coupled with elegantly simple and flawlessly executed controls.
Seeing the combine soldiers as life-sized enemies right in your face is intimidating as hell. As are zombies and headcrabs. I mean for a second there I think I actually panicked haha.
The first few minutes, where you see the strider variant walking around *gasp*
And everything about the controls is perfect (using Valve Index).
I'm only in about 30 minutes or so in, but wow. Game of the year so far for me.
Poor Doom Eternal, it will be getting neglected the next few days....

The intro is unreal. Like Half Life 2 levels of unreal. Holy s---
It is. I really can't describe it. That's probably the toughest part with VR.
Me:"VR is amazing"
Curious person: "Oh yeah, tell me more"
Me"VR is just...how do I....it's like....think of it like....wait, no...
CP: "Hmmm"
Me: "No, seriously, it's amazing".

Anyone else unable to disable snap turning? Also if I select weapon hand as left handed, movement switches to right analog stick. And I dunno how to crouch (playing seated)
Honest question: why are you playing sitting down?
You crouch by crouching...in real life. Though at 6"2 I am finding it a bit tough to get as low as I need to be once or twice hahaha.

this is flop for Half life standard. HL2 was 96 on metacritic. and truly deserved it.
You know, if you would just admit you were wrong about Alyx, people might have a shred of respect for you on here.
