[QUOTE="Eyezonmii"][QUOTE="Animal-Mother"] I've been waiting for this game since 05, and have been playin RE since 1996. Common you know i'm a huge fanAnimal-MotherForgot about you, suspension and all...hope it doesn't lag much. PS3 or 360 version? 360 less frame rate droppage fine. Controller is more suited for the game any ways. Do i have you on my list? HardTarget86 is mine.
[QUOTE="Animal-Mother"]AHH eyez we were doing so well up until our communication error stupid XBLEyezonmiitell me about it....dam annoying. But hey, you did good. ;) Hey man you weren't half bad youself hopefully they'll fix these problems with the real game. You've played both demos though I assume

Sorry, but you can't win this one. The other demo build is way too old, as I said.blitzcloud
[QUOTE="DeathScape666"]Also, is there any different between the PS3 version and the 360 version? I heard the latter has better graphics, but I've also heard that's only in the demo, and that the final game will be equal. What's the deal on this?XEmporioX
Some of the textures look a bit sharper on X360, but it's really hard to see the difference while playing. However the X360 has screen tearing while the PS3 does not.
That's what I read too. The PS3 demo is the same shown at some gameshow last year. The retail should be a bit more polished.
I rather have a little bit of tearing than running the game like crap, framerate problems>>> tearing.[QUOTE="blitzcloud"]Sorry, but you can't win this one. The other demo build is way too old, as I said.McdonaIdsGuy

Yeah and what version is older than the otherEyezonmii
[QUOTE="Eyezonmii"][QUOTE="McdonaIdsGuy"]Lol, do you salute the flag when you defend the 360 on a daily bases..curious? calm down...it doesn't matter..they're just demo's OLD demo builds...we all know the 360 was first to be done due to the simplicity/similar hardware design to PC, then later done to the PS3. Doesn't suprise me the PS3 has issues concerning framerate, VISUALLY they're identical, i 've seen it first hand running on my 1080p Sony X series. There is no doubt that the build shown in the pics isn't the demo out now. Cause those pics of the PS3 version are complete BS. FACT!
That's complete BS those demos are from E3 2008.McdonaIdsGuy

[QUOTE="Eyezonmii"][QUOTE="McdonaIdsGuy"]err, why would i need a capture card when i'm playing them off my HDTV? you know, the way they're suppose to be viewed, LOL. i'll even say the PS3 version has more deeper colors over the 360's, more enemies on screen and what appears to be more blood work on the enemies when you shoot them, these are some of the things i''ve noticed. I'm not 100% sure, but definitely notice more blood and wounds when shooting them on the PS3 version (especially in the face) The graphics are identical, concerning detail and textures from what i've played. Take my word for it, since you can't trust your self knowing how thick your goggles are.
Yeah sure those image are BS? do you have a capture card? thats what i thought...those demos are the same that were released in Japan, don't claim fact when you can't even prove me wrong.McdonaIdsGuy
judging by your gamercard you look the type.[QUOTE="Eyezonmii"][QUOTE="Toriko42"]I'll suicide thread if this game is below AAA
Just kidding Mods, I'll only go out in a hail of bullets.TheGrat1
The eyes......The Eyes! :o
lol, yep...good thing the pic cuts off showing his hands, he probably has to heads he cut off, that he's holding. (to take back home and store in his refrigerator).I played the demo recently and to be honest I wasn't overly impressed, it definitely looks good, but the game just feels broken, not being able to move and shoot is killing me. I mean walking and shooting should definitely be a mechanic in the game. And the menu system for switching weapons and using green herbs etc, seems tedious, especially with the action still going on in the background, I would have preferred a one button switch, if there is not going to be a break in the action. Overall, disappointed, just went from buy to my ever increasing list of game I have to rent.navstar29Same here man, like I said before, I'm not big on Resident Evil, but I at least play the games for the most part before making final judgements.

FACT!EyezonmiiThe only difference I noticed with a back to back comparison was that the 360 version had slightly better shadows... and the PS3 was more contrasty (could be my TV though) you're right they're damn near identical.

Having the ability to always access a briefcase or menu (that stops the action) makes it easy...when it's done on the move it keeps the tension and makes it work...imo. In other words you find it hard, right ;) also, the one button switch is there for weapons, ammo and herbs..you can also set items to the d-pad for quick access (ala gears)
Hey PS3 version has more zombies...aka_aj03I've notice this, it appears the PS3 version has more zombies, hard to confirm but it feels that way. (no i'm not trying to make the PS3 version sound better) just looks like it. Unless capcom had certain areas become more packed while the 360's spread out concerning enemies and how they move around. etc
After trying the demo, I'm not sure if I'll buy this, maybe rent it. No, it wasn't bad, but I didn't find it to be that great. I'm sure it's going to be a 9.5 here because the full game will probably be awesome of course, then again, I was never a huge fan of Resident Evil.mitu123
If this game gets 9.5 I'm going to have to consider it a sign of the apocalypse(going by the demo anyway). Also, when are developers going to get sick of the slick skin look, it looks like ****.

wtf you on about, skin look?[QUOTE="mentzer"]Controls blow. Chris moves like a tank. Much worse than Leon. And running with X is killing me. So used to square . Dissapointing.EyezonmiiHow would one move with the size of chris and rifles stuck to his back? Speedy fast? I think chris's movement is realistic...you just don't like the weighty feel to it and prefer fast paced games. I agree with the X and Square button, but it isn't that bad.
I've been playing RE since the first game. Religiously.
In the prior games I can run with square, pick up a item with X and keep it moving without ever taking my finger off of square.
Very usefull when running from enemies and you spot items to quickly pick up and give yourself some space afterwards.
And Leon didn't run around the game like a tank carrying multiple guns, ammo, grenades, a knife and items (keys, herbs, files, first aid sprays and treasures) in a briefcase, so your logic about Chris and rifles stuck to his back fails.
And if i wanted emcumburence to play a part in a game I would go play a military shooter.

I was referring more to chris's size and RE5 already seem more realistic over RE4, so using RE4..your logic fails. Your beef is more with the square and X buttons i feel ya...that i can understand, but the overall tank movement is fine, IMO.I played the demo recently and to be honest I wasn't overly impressed, it definitely looks good, but the game just feels broken, not being able to move and shoot is killing me. I don't understand why people keep saying it has broken gameplay. It plays just like Resident Evil 4. I loved the online co op. One thing I didn't like was the girl playing beside me in single player. I's rather play the single player alone. Other then that I loved the game.
I just played the Dead Space demo and I have to say I thought the character in Dead Space moved entirely to slow for me. At least in Resident Evil it's easy to run from the badies and get away. Seriously in Resident Evil you can just run around and not worry about dieing. In Dead Space the character moves to slow for my taste. Even with the moving and shooting at the same time I had a MUCH harder time staying alive in Dead Space then I did in Resident Evil.

At least the demo saved me $60.
RE5 will be a great game, i have some minor complaints but overall i enjoyed the demo and cant wait for the game to get released next month :)

so you never played RE for its story/graphics/characters...etc? just gameplay? (find that hard to believe considering how broken the classic re controls/gameplay was) you sound like a fakeboy or one of those retro RE fans here to bash on how RE5 has changed to action horror? really should kill the habit of judging games by there demo. Expecially for a HARDCORE RE fan as yourself....(rollseyes) to each there own. Please Log In to post.
