Understood. Time will tell...but Cows have to be *quite* concerned right now. Nobody points out gameplay as being this suspect unless it really is, do they? I mean...they gave the gameplay a 6. that's like...BAD.

People in Europe might hate hack and slashes, but from how God of War has been received in America it might be different.

thanks for pointing that out. that should at least quiet the hecklers a little bit. but still...the gameplay got a 6 man. and the lasting appeal was of course directly affected.

based on the demo, I might have scored this the same way, which is why I think it just may be legit.

and to be honest, we've only fished up a couple of examples to make the point that they sometimes score a point different between the two IGN's. How many more games have been reviewed and met with consistent scoring?

Yeah and IGN scored Red Steel 6.0, so not only do the different branches score differently sometimes it is a whole 2 points different.

It doesn't mean they will always review it 2 points lower. It just means they have differences in opinions. And hoenstly do you think Red Steel deserved an 8.0?

You're right.. It didn't deserve 8.0.. It deserved 6.0.. Just like Heavenly sword doesn't deserve 7.0.. It deserves 5.0..

Well...how did they score God of War? That should give us some evidence to this concern, if it is a valid one.

After spending quite some time with the demo, I expect A and AA scores for this game.

I stopped playing it for a bit.. and decided to play God of War.. the original. Apparently Ninja Theory didn't take their notes as well as they should have, because even the original God of War spits (you know whatword I really wanna say)all over Heavenly Swords gameplay.

You cows must be ticked. First you pay for most expensive console ever and now every game seems to flop. Only games that score well on PS3 were on 360 a year earlier sometimes 3 years earlier like NG:SEltroz

Makes an utter mockery of that PSireland website some people were throwing around that said the game took them 5 day 12 hr stints to complete without looking for any of the hidden or secret areas/items lol

well...then we should probably expect IGN to be close to IGN-UK. to expect IGN to come in a full point or 2 higher...well...while it's happened before, we can probably assume those instances are rare. it's looking like the odds are exceedingly low this will be the next anamoly.

people saw the actors and the storyline and assumed the best. some played the demo and swore it was God of War-like. that it owned Ninja Gaiden.

Then when the voices of reason came...they were shooed away for breaking up the party. oh well.

In reality, most Cows here were praising the demo as the Second Coming. I belive they really thought it was a good demo and that the controls and gameplay were excellent.

PS3 has good games. I sure seem to find soemthing to play on it all the time, but according to lemmings it has nothing worth playing. Maybe its just cause I enjoy games and don't care what system it is on.

EDIT lol they have actually changed it slightly - now saying it took them 15 hrs to complete and five straight days of 12 hrs to unlock everything

From the little taste they give you in the demo this seems like a game I will enjoy so it doesn't matter what the reviews say. As long as their are no major technical issues that make this game unplayable it will still be a good game. 7.0 is not a terrible score.
