It's not that bad imo. I hardly ever have to log in, I just click the client I want to play games from and it logs in automatically usually, unless I haven't played from it in quite a while.

Steam is better in terms of being rammed with features, but I can't say these other clients particularly piss me off though.

All ex-consolites of this board who bashed PC gaming in the past when referring now to consoles, they calling them secondary options. Specially the sheep. Not that 99% of them are not owning a PS4 as we speak , which is another sign of hypocrisy towards what they talking about like " PC + switch the best combo omg omg " like 4 years now their " PC + PS4 " combo never existed .. but the point is that you see everyone reffering to PCs first and foremost above anything else , when few years back consolites were bashing it for myriads of things.

@with_teeth26: I actually had Camry first then changed it to Corvette lol... The X and Pro are better than a Camry. Even the highest end PC(say a Lamborghini) is not gonna look that much better in comparison in the video game world. Corvettes are cheap for the performance you get... So it's a good analogy.

@BassMan: Yeah I like Corvettes. And I like the price for the performance you get. It is comparable to cars costing twice as much for the same performance. I'd say it's a really good car to use as an analogy. How much money do you have to spend on a PC to max all settings? Let's go with Destiny since that's the current popular game. Wouldn't a $1500 PC be totally adequate for every setting maxed?(Well I guess there's no cap on frames per second, so that can't really be answered).

The consoles are not giving you the same performance though. They have shit CPUs that run games at 30fps. With consoles and PCs, you get what you pay for. I would not recommend a $500 PC either. If you want quality, you have to pay for it.

There was a massive stipulation of IF YOU PREFER PLAYING WITH A CONTROLLER then you'll probably enjoy playing on the console more. And I'll point out now it comes down to preference. Neither is objectively better to play on as they both end up being very different in practice, since there is a degree of sloppiness with consoles generally players can move around more depending on the game. I'm primarily a PC gamer.. and I can appreciate the difference at times.

@DragonfireXZ95: Umm it's a custom built car... How do you know it's not equivalent to a Corvette??? Yes, I built it, and it's zero-60 times are the same as are the 1/4 mile speed and top speed. Even the handling is exactly the same. But I had to spend twice as much building it. So I'm getting a car that performs the same as my stock Corvette, cost twice as much, has no warranty, more than likely will need repair sooner, repair will cost more and be more hassle. It's a perfect analogy.

@drlostrib: If it does, it's fixed immediately... Ps4 for example would have the same exact patch for all 60+ million ps4s, so all would be affected. Also, all would be fixed with one single patch. Much easier than having to patch 1000's of different hardware configs.

Consoles 4K cant make true 4K to begin with, where when we talking about PC gaming at 4K , is at its true form and glory.

It still splits the game library, something a console does not do, and that even goes for the PS4.

i like pc gaming but here in japan computers are crazy expensive. I also like having discs and not having all my games being digital. I can still rent games in japan so thats pretty cool and the resale market is great here.

Then set it to automatically log in? How is it so hard to use and run just a handful of programs on a PC to launch a game? You simply have to have it run in your system tray and then right click and then choose a game or unminimize from system tray and select the game. So hard...

I've been using Steam since 2004, and Bnet since 2010.

But seriously, Console gaming has been my choice for over 30 years, I don't think I'll ever jump ship. Why can't people DEAL WITH IT?

Nothing against PC gaming whatsoever, I give kudos to those that have powerful Rigs, though. You like gaming on that platform, so be it. Just be happy.

I'm on my MacBook and iMac, but never for gaming. However, I have an old Dell PC, with 6gb Ram, using Windows 7. I don't use it at all, not even for internet. But I have a few old games on it, Red Alert 2, Sim City 3000 Unlimited, Half-Life 2, Aliens vs Predator 2, original CoD......just old games I barely even touch.

For third parties, i always get it on PC almost. Better graphics and cheaper. Upgrading every year is a myth, lol. I built my computer 8+ years ago, and I still max most games. That said, some people just prefer a big t.v and the initial purchase of a gaming PC is more expensive than buying a console.

Personally, I enjoy a PC + Switch combination. Cheap PC third parties off STEAM with better graphics, and all the Nintendo exclusive games (or awesome third party I wanna play on the go).

One developer's problem should not be applied on another developer.

Furthermore, MS has several UE4 based projects.
