What does Halo online have to do with what we're talking about--Halo Reach singleplayer is told to be 40 characters and 20 vehicles on screen at once during the singleplayer.

Reach just emphases that Lemmings should really drop the graphics card, like the Sheep have done now for quite some time. It is only going to get more disparate when the time goes.

For a game like MAG, yes.

Can't exactly find the video I watched -- for I watched these videos and had to answer questions about them to get into the private beta before it went public -- but it's mostly just plain common sense, regardless, I found a nice tibbit of information from an interview that explains what i was talking about.

"How will you ensure it isn't chaotic with that many players? We've done a lot of tests inside our own studio, observing how people were playing the game, and we came up with a set of plans to limit the chaos. We found that real-life military structure, with squads and platoons, seems to work best. These real-life structures help the players feel that the game is organised."

lol: the funniest thing is the lemmings had the nerve to criticize MAG's graphics, and look at what's happening to their Halo Reach graphis arguement now, theyare trying to turn it into an arguement of scale and they AUTO failed the moment I brought up MAG. Lemmings have no where to turn with their damage control now. It's quite amusing.What will they say next? Halo Reach's scale is bigger and better than MAGs?playharderfool

I dig it, looks more raw when compared to Halo 3. The lighting looks a lot better but it would be nice to see the ambient light from plasma weapons and shields shining onto the walls/ground though.

And that makes your, "35 characters on the screen at once" calim about MAG about right exactly how? lol, where did you pull that number from? Yet you are so quick to point out the 40 player 20 vehicale calim for Halo Reach that you've never seen in action?

WarHawk has 32 player online with controlable land and air vehicles that exceend that number plus split screen, Resistance 2 already has a full on 60 player online campaign that's a 2008 PS3 game. lol man the damage control never ends

Wow, that's great and all but we're talkinga bout Halo: Reach here. This thread isn't for crappy ps3 games, duh. Does the title of this thread include anything that says to you "Hey, we really want to hear what you think about warhawk and MAG in this thread. Please come in and say "lol" a lot and act condescendingly towards people who don't like your favorite gaming system?" You like PS3, and that's great. I hope that works out for you and stuff.

It's an estimation. The gameplay would get too chaotic if the game would focus on all 256 players battling in one area. That's just common sense, really. The game is fought in smaller battles all over the map in squads and platoons with officers leading them. I've played the beta, I know how it works. They can't change that philosophy. That's the main foundation the game was built around.

I haven't played either of those so I can't comment, but those do sound like better examples than MAG.

Tis why I play multi games on my 360 and solely exlcusive games on my ps3.....But by Buying multi games on 360 brings Ms more revenue....well thats not get into that ;)

really? show me a PS3 game witha full 3D skybox, and show me a PS3 game that puts graphics,physics,destructible enviroments,advanced weather effects,a full 3D skybox and large scale into a single package, it may not be as good looking as UC2 and killzone 2, but it looks way better than MAG.

Weren't you lemmings just gushing of the topic of scale and open world a few moments ago? 256 vs (a calimed) 40 it's not hard to understand scale right SCALE!! lol, So scale is no longer the all encompassing equilizer when it comes to determining graphic impressiveness? Now it's back to overall graphics I guess? :) So would you like me to post some pictures of Killzone 2 or Unchared 2 instead then?

The character models in Reach looks really good and yes it looks way better than Halo 3 - also hurray for the absence of BLOOM effects!

You know that enviroment shadows are baked on textures? Only characters and certain objects cast real time shadows, no AO (even baked, not o mention SSAO).

KZ2 and UC2 look like that because they are linear/ corridor levels games.

cows should be grateful then, if Halo reach was a a linear/corridor game it would probably blow UC2 and killzone 2 out of the water in graphics, just as well we are not all graphics ****** here on GS, they can keep there graphics kings, this game is going to be the gameplay king, and REACH has a quality that no PS3 game ever has,staying power, i know which game the most people will still be playing online 3 years from now, and it won't be MAG.

Why are you bringing up MAG when someone referenced the number of AI controlled characters and vehicles that will be onscreen in reach? I wasn't aware MAG had AI controlled characters? That would be like me saying MAG is not technically impressive for having 256 players because 1 vs 100 has had 100,000 in the same session before. The two figures are completely unrelated.

Back to the topic, those screens look pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but I'm definitely excited for this game.

This thread started being about how Halo Reach looks good, then about how Halo 3 sucks and now It's just constant Damage Control...wtf is going on here? Can SW no stay on topic once? :?

KZ2 and UC2 look like that because they are linear/ corridor levels games.

cows should be grateful then, if Halo reach was a a linear/corridor game it would probably blow UC2 and killzone 2 out of the water in graphics, just as well we are not all graphics ****** here on GS, they can keep there graphics kings, this game is going to be the gameplay king, and REACH has a quality that no PS3 game ever has,staying power, i know which game the most people will still be playing online 3 years from now, and it won't be MAG.

I guess that can contribute to the fact that the PS3 rolls out great exclusive after great exclusive to combat this clinging effect... i mean staying power.

and they still can't get the same amount of people to buy there game's, all these great exclusives and they still can't bring Halo down,says a lot when a game with inferior graphics can outsell every exclusive in the Ps3's inventory,lol,syas even more when an expansion pack with the same graphics outsells every Ps3 exclusive as well, maybe ther IS more to games than just pretty graphics,just a thought

Ever notice how arguments evolve on SW? It starts out as "Red is a better color than orange, because it's more vibrant" and then someone will skewer the argument a bit by saying "Well, Oranges taste better than apples, and they orange while apples are red!" and then by 50 posts in, the argument will be about how Uncharted 2 has better graphics than Crysis. How we got there, no one knows...It's like the Twilight Zone :|
