The PS3 Over take the 360.

Dang this thread doubled in posts the last time I saw it.  What are people still arguing about.  I thought people pretty much ended it on the first page really.  Sony is combining PS3 and PS2 sales.  Not really more deep than that.

Like I said in my previous post. I don't doubt that people have gone through 3-4 Xboxs. I know people that have if you count the ones MS replaced for free.  I'm also not saying no one went out and bought 3-4 Xbox 360s. It's possible. I don't know. I've never seen it happen, but I wouldn't rule it out.

What I was saying is that most people I have seen on here that throw some ridiculous number out like 8 Xboxs re-bought are usually PS3 fanboys that you know have never owned an Xbox 360. I was not saying that everyone who says it is a PS3 fanboy, just usually that it is known fanboys.

My logic is not flawed. The point of what I was saying is that poll made up of random people who just reply without some kind of verification cannot be taken seriously. Sure Lems would do the same thing, as would other factions. That's why the poll cannot be taken seriously. 

Why I mentioned cows in my statement, was because most of the time when someone says they have been through 7 or 8 Xbox 360s. It's usually someone like you. Who so obviously bows at the Sony altar, and has probably never owned an Xbox 360 in the first place.

This problem was huge don't you get it,if it was small MS would have never ever separate 1 billion dollars to fix it,that is the biggest indication of how big RROD was,the real numbers may never be known,but i am sure it was huge and much bigger than 33% on those launch units,some stores claimed 80% falty units some less is impossible that 1 store was that unlucky.

Nope....On January 4, 2013, Sony announced the discontinuation of the PlayStation 2 after 13 years of production. That didn't mean that there were not still PS2s in the supply chain, just that Sony was no longer going to make them. So sales will probably continue into at least this quarter.

Yeah it was huge. Up in the DRE failures on the PS2 levels. It was totally unacceptable. MS completely screwed up, just like Sony did with the PS2.

However, that still doesn't change the fact that you just cannot subtract a number from the total sales just because you want to. You have no idea excatly what the number of units that were bought as replacement for failed consoles were. Many preople just had their consoles repaired. Not every failure was a re-buy. Why don't you get that?

It also does not change the fact that if you are going to try and remove sales for failed 360s. You have to do the same for failed PS3s. What's so hard to grasp about that?

Do you think Sony just recalled all the PS2s worldwide back to their plants and disassembled them? No they will continue to sell them until they are gone.

And that doesn't change the fact that PS2 sales dropped 35% from 2010-11 compare to 2011-12 sales,from .4 million units to just 4.1 that is a 2.3 million drop,even if you apply half of that to 2012-13 sales that still is 1.15 million units less sold,which would put the PS2 at little under 3 millions sold,and would put the PS3 over the 360 by like 150K or more.

I was. During the PS2 gen, SONY was making money hand over fist. They have truly disappointed this gen. There is no way I can support them, especially now that they're not even making $1 billion in profit annually.
