Better graphics, better game prices.

Halo Wars > Dawn of War?? Since when do consoles have better games? I thought the lineup this generation was neck and neck, and all previous generations, PC has had better games than any single console.but consoles hav better games

How is GRAW on PC? I hear it is completely different from the console versions? Same with Chaos Theory I guess...? What is the difference from console?
Objective. Also about 4out of 5 games are on on all3 platforms and usually pc is the better version. Let alone the huge backcatalog since PC is backwards compatiblebut consoles hav better games

Chaos Theory is different from the PS2 when it comes to online, but I think it's the same as the Xbox version. How is GRAW on PC? I hear it is completely different from the console versions? Same with Chaos Theory I guess...? What is the difference from console?

How was GTA4 on PC?Mau-Justice
Incredible, actually! For once, they finally nailed the driving so using the keyboard doesn't feel like crap. In fact, and I may be biased slightly, I prefer using the keyboard to drive in GTA 4 to the controller. And we all know the shooting is more precise with the mouse.
And, grapghically speaking, it looks great. I always hated GTA 4's shadows and I am glad I was allowed to disable them.

Genre: 360 version is a solid paced TPS while the PC version is a slow paced FPS. The 360 version plays more like Ghost Recon 2 while the PC version plays more like the original Ghost Recon, and I played the 1st 2 Ghost Recons and they aren't alike, I'm such a Ghost Recon fan, LOL.
Multiplayer:
360-Has 16 players and 10 modes: Team Elimination, Team Territory, Team Objective, Solo Elimination, Solo Territory, Solo Objective, Co-op Campaign separate from the main campaign, Co-op Elimination, Co-op Territory, Co-op Objective. There's more options to chose from than the PC version and more ways to customize your soldiers.
PC-Has 32 players and 2 modes: Co-op campaign for the main campaign(you'll need it) and Domination. And it doesn't have a lot of options either.
Campaign differences-Different level designs(PC version's missions are much bigger and more wide open than the 360's smaller and linear levels), mission objectives that while some are the same even though they are done differently due to the level design, a lot are different and even removed from one version while adding another, enemies are placed at different spots and altered(one certain spot could have a sniper in one version and the other could have a enemy with a rocket launcher). The PC version is much harder and more tactical than the 360 version. The 360 version has more music, the PC has a lot less, a lot of it repeats itself. Certain missions are removed from 1 version while added to another(for example, as soon as you start both games, you'll notice that the 360 version has a training mission while the PC version doesn't).
Gameplay differences:
360-You control 3 other teammates at the same time. You can tell them to be aggressive to attack more fiercely. They listen to your orders very well. There's a cover system to use. There's no sprint like the PC version since you are always running. You have to hold the L button to aim well. You can use tanks and gadgets. You can switch different teammates. There are on rails sections.
PC-You can control 3 other teammates at the same time or individually. You can never tell them to be aggressive. They don't follow certain orders well. You have a sprint button, and you'll need it to move as fast as the 360 version since you always walk slow. The lack of cover due to the view is made up for a lean n peak. You can't use certain gadgets that the 360 version has, and no real tank support. You can't switch different teammates, you're stuck with the same 3 idiots. No on rails section.

Not to mention, you could always hook up a controller if you don't like the keyboard.Yeah flying helicopters is much much easier with a controller... And I don't get how you like driving with the keyboard... There are no soft movements like with an analogue stick and triggers... So you can't halfway hold a key like the trigger to drive slower or barely hold a key to turn slowly like you can with an analogue stick... you can either press it or not... There is no in between...
EDIT: Thanks for the reply above about GRAW, I guess I won't be grabbing it then because it sounds kind of terrible compared to the console version...

Well, you're right about that. I happen to think however it does not matter much... at least to me. It's not some feature that I would use ever and I don't think it makes much of a difference. But I suppose that is one advantage of joysticks.

The only thing that's better in the PC version is that it's more difficult, more tactical, bigger environments and individual quad controls, the 360 version destroys it overall. You made the right choice, though I'm just using GRAW 1. Avoid the PS2 and Xbox versions, they're worse than the PC version.[QUOTE="halo_wars86"][QUOTE="Brownesque"] Halo Wars > Dawn of War?? Go have a look at the exclusive list my friend. All 3 consoles (yes comparing all 3 consoles) together they do even come close to the PC exclusives. Facts speak for themselves. Preferences we can disagree on.Oh and you can build a PC with no monitor (cos it can use the same TV you will for you consoles) for that price that will cream the consoles, as hasbeen shown a 1000 times on here

See thats personal preference why you prefer consoles to PC's. I've no problem with that all.Facts speak for themselves. Preferences we can disagree on.blue_hazy_basicSo because the PC has more "highly rated" games than consoles is evidence for them being "better?" Using someones opinion for objective evidence isn't proper evidence. Evidence is something that is irrefutable by your opposition; Someone can simply disagree with these reviews and they will be well within reason to do so. Opinion>Objective>Opinion, not fact. But OK, this is System Wars, a place void of logic and reason. I bet if all these superfluous "rules" were thrown out that most people would just leave SW.

there is a large difference between professional opinion and fanboy opinion. The professional opinion always weighs far more and is very close to actually mattering on the subject
however
it is still an opinion, and being an opinion it is not a fact.
fact: PC games can play all games released for PC (with some work)
fact: Consoles can't play all of their predecessors games(360 is not full bc ps3 has 0 ps2 and wii is only GC and what is released on VC)
opinion: X > Y < Z (screw y, always acting a fool)

You can assume that not every AAA/AA game is for everyone thats fine, but when the PC has more than all 3 consoles combined, let alone one, isn't it fair to assume that its library is pretty impressive? The fact consolites need to combine 3 consoles vs the PC says it all. Please present your case as to why any one console has a better library than the PC.
EDIT of course the reviews do not take into account the much higher standards applied to PC games, so you're right they are harsh on the PC. Remember the fuss when Halo Wars was scored compared to PC RTS's, my the fuss!

actually wrong. graphics are fact. they have nothing to do with how the game looks or your opinion. graphics are the tech behind everything.
visuals are based on opinion and involve the art on top of the graphics

again looking better has little to do with graphics. thats again visuals.
crysis on high settings (which can be done on pretty much anything) has better graphics than any console game or any game for that matter. STALKER CS same thing but max. hell HL2 with the CM same thing.
most multiplats get a bump in graphics.whether its significant or not is irelevent
