1- I didn't say otherwise. You're the one who brought up the Wii U for multiplats
I one and love it right now, but i wouldn't recommend it ha a primary platform due to lack of 3rd party support. If you care about those games. You're the one
2- Yes, but you're the one using a platform with inferior multiplats being anotehr platform with even more inferior multiplats. I used teh same example
3- So? PC is a gamign platform. It exists. It counts on System Wars. So.........................shrugs
In the world of platform wars, you don't get to take out one fo them to suit your agend. If the piss 4 doesn't have the best versions of multiplats, it doesn't have the best looking and running versions of multiplats.
The Piss 4? Seems people these days will throw any words together to come up with what they think is a clever insult.
Congratulations, PC is a gaming platform and exists on SW. But Gue1 made the best observation here. PC and consoles may share many games but they definitely don't cater to the same demographics. Sure, in our super serious gaming world of Gamespot and SW, we know that PC has the best multiplats. But, in the actual real world, where the average consumer will only buy consoles, or will only buy one console for a generation, they look at several factors: Price, brand power (and hype), features, and total games (and how they perform).
So, the PS4 was cheaper than the Xbone, the PS4 has the PS brand and the mega hype behind it (along with the advertising), and also has the multiplat games that people clamor for. In the console realm of hardware, the PS4 has the best multiplats. You can bring up platform wars all you want, but for the average consumer, PC doesn't exist and isn't a part of the equation. Sad, but true.
If reality actually matched SW's perceptions, several things would be different:
1) Wii U would probably be in the lead.
2) Bayonetta 2 sales would exceed Wii U's, people would buy 3-4 copies just to contain that magnificent 10.
3) PC's would be more openly discussed in the average market place.
So, you're on System Wars, a forum for "war" (in a funny sense ofcourse) between all platforms , while complaining about SW rules.
Seems legit.
So then, why are cows the ones posting about DF face offs to mock the xbone about the piss 4 having better versions of multiplats. After all, unless you can back up the idea that the majority (50%+) of all PS4 owners bought the console for superior multiplats (compated to the xb1), you're contradicting yourself regarding my point.
All i said was the piss 4 doens't have the best versions of multiplats. PC does. Which is true. So..........................shrug.
But hey, i'm sure those sales will be fun to play.
I'm not complaining about SW rules at all, not certain where you got that from. The real world does not correlate with the rules here of SW. Just because I point out that obvious fact does not mean I am complaining about the rules of SW. SW is a tiny, tiny bubble here in the gaming world. The ideas of hyping exclusives, flops, determining multiplats (and utterly excluding their value for a system), etc. have no validity for the rest of the world.
Look at the first sentence of the thread: "With the recent announcement that Resogun is going to the Playstation Vita as well, I have a serious, genuine question right now- why exactly is this console selling? What does it have to warrant the sales?"
So yeah, the thread is asking why is the PS4 selling the way it is, to which I have already described. Again, explaining why the PS4 is selling isn't me "complaining about the rules". So why are cows posting about DF face offs having better versions about multiplats? Um...because that's what happens around here? Lems bragged about it last gen, cows brag about it this gen. The consoles argue amongst themselves around here. It's kind of been a thing around here for a long time now.
"After all, unless you can back up the idea that the majority (50%+) of all PS4 owners bought the console for superior multiplats (compated to the xb1), you're contradicting yourself regarding my point."
What? You'll have to show me where I supposedly contradicted myself. You're point is what, that PC has the best multiplats? Yeah....we established that. Here in the super duper serious gaming world, we know that PC has best multiplats. No surprise there. Again, SW isn't the consumer world. Average consumers look at the price (huh PS4 was cheaper for several months), hype and brand power ( huge), features, and games available vs. the competition. Accordingly, for the average consumer, PC isn't on the radar. Sorry, but it's true. For the average consumer, it's a culmination of all those factors. Consumer A may have been swayed by the cheaper price, along with the PS brand. Consumer B may have heard about the better running multiplats than the competition. Who knows what swayed what percentage of the consumers because of price or hype or games or etc. The fact is it happened, so the best we can do is try to explain it.
Also, you seem to shrug a lot, you could at least formulate an argument instead of shrugging. "Piss 4", again, such a terrible name, but I guess I can't expect any better, so.....shrug.
