What, exactly, does the PS4 have left any more?

PC version of titanfall is a fucking wasteland bro. i went to play that new mode yesterday and most playlists had double digit populations. the highest was attrition at 500 people.

Why do you keep using the real world sales, when i didn't even meantion them? Why would i care anyway? The average consumer bougth Destiny, yet it flopped scored wise. Who gives a shit?

I'm talking about the exclusives library. Gue1 tried to counter with superior multiplats versions, and i proved him wrong.

If i wanted to do a popularity contest, then the average consumer, in reality, cares more about mobile gaming than console gaming.

The reality is that the piss 4 is pretty worthless right now, since it's not delivering on the exclusives or superior multis. So........................shrug.

Don't know if its been mentioned but what about Bayonetta2 for WiiU? Its the highest rated game for any current gen console.

Also, XB1 owners do not think Killer Instinct is a disappointment. Especially now that season2 is live. For the most part its been very well received.

Other than that I agree with the OP as it stands now after edits.

Really what is has going for it it's a next gen system with a okay selection of multiplats (which are seemingly more interesting that the console / Sony exclusives), so there's that, Alien Isolation and Shadow of Mordor, Wolftenstein, Watch Dogs, and more to come, on that end it's a better console to play those on compared to the Xbox One so that's what it has going for it. Oh, and Persona 5 is coming, not exclusive, but I imagine it'll be a notch better than the PS3 version.

There is no reason to own a PS4/Xbone right now. I have yet to see one game that has made me feel the urge to purchase a system immediately. Everything semi interesting comes out next year, so if I do make a purchase it will be then.

@MarkAndExecute: Truth be told, Wii Sports isn't a bad game for family get togethers or when friends come over. That said, TC has already asserted his point on why buying a console at launch is stupid (me including).

My PS4's biggest use is streaming baseball games on my projector. That should be saying a lot about the current state of PS4.

@tormentos: I'm enjoying Shadow of Mordor rather fine on my PC, which has an 87 score compared to 86 on consoles. GTA 5 will be a wait, but then again, what's a few months compared to a year?

If anyone only plays multiplats, then they would play on the PC as the superior experience. It might take a little more effort, but the character building, options at your fingertips and the sales on Steam will make it all worth your while. The only reason why you would buy a console is for games that offers an unique experience you can't get anywhere else. I bought a PS4 because they have the only decent baseball game on the market, and I bought a Wii U because I enjoy Mario games and Smash Bros (and the definitive version of Rayman Legends is on that console).

That is the problem the xbox one has just 1 this holiday,and 3 Kinect games which a huge chunk of the user base can't even play because they went Kinectless sku,so basically you have SO, because MCC,FH2 and the rest are multiplatforms.

You don't need to wait until further to play Halo Ce,3 or 4,or Reach or ODST they are all out now,and 2 are not even on that collection,i guess that is 2017 exclusive MCC 2.0 the same shit with Reach and ODST.

I remember showing Wii Sports to my friends a few times and it was amusing for a while but once the novelty factor wore off, we went back to playing DDR and Guitar Hero on the PS2 lol. Especially for casual gamers, the game gets old pretty quickly once you realize the motion functions do not exactly mimic your gestures 100% of the time. Its not the type of game you could play for months, especially when there are better options out there.

It has the best looking multiplats in the console environment. PC is a different demographic just like handhelds.

The PS4 definitely has games, just not ones that appeal to the TC. I mean if one of the reasons you're spouting off why the Wii U rocks is because it has a Remaster of an old game that came out 12 years ago, then that's kinda sad tbh. Oh look! But i think you're being too harsh on the Xbox. Forza 5 is still an AAAE, the fact its probably the weaker one in the series is just a testament to how great the others are. Killer Instinct is most definitely not a disappointment. I couldn't care less about the fighter genre but I have friends who love it.

People who bought a PS4 bought it because it was a PS4. If you wanted a solid game library you would have waited. Frankly, if people did wait, companies would stop thinking they can trickle out their big guns.

Not really. The PS4 shares 90% of its library with PC, so comparing them is more than fair game. Handhelds aren't home consoles and barely share their games. It's always been like this anyway so i don't see the issue.

Last gen cows seemed fine with pc being present in multiplat face offs.

So, by that reasoning, Playstation 4 is outselling Gen 7 cross-platform titles because of the expectation of abandonment from Microsoft.

There is no such thing as "console exclusive" or "company exclusive." Console exclusive is a term coined by lemmings that used the Xbox 360/PC games as a means against the PS3.

Glad the community proved TC wrong. PS4 is on a ROLL and not a surprise it's current gen 8 console leader, making it THE console to own this gen.

All it takes is commitment that Nintendo and MS seem to be lacking, but hopefully they'll adjust and follow SONY's proven method.

There's many reasons, but you first have to understand that 90% of gamers out there are casuals and don't own a gaming PC.

• Multiplats sell consoles in the real world. Casual gamers don't own gaming rigs and they want to play Call of Duty and Madden. They need a console to do that. Hardcore and casual gamers alike know that PS4 is the cheapest and most powerful console.
• Exclusives don't mean anything in the real world. In fact, most casual gamers don't even know what an exclusive is.
• Microsoft got a lot of bad press from their 2013 unveiling and even the most casual of casuals know about this.
• PlayStation is a strong brand and casuals trust it. Why shouldn't they? The PS brand has delivered strong for the last 20+ years.
• Regardless of what PS4 has to offer, the fact that it's selling so well garners interest towards it and makes people want it more. Consumers are sheep and will get in line for something just because they see a line.
• Sony has really picked up their advertising campaigns this gen compared to last gen.
• The Wii U was a running joke for over a year after it launched on the market and casual gamers still see it as a joke. Only hardcore gamers know it's a good console now.

I forgot to add that Sony has the best sales pitch in the industry right now. Sales pitch is what you need to sell consoles to casuals and casuals make up 90%+ of the market like I said.

Sony's sales pitch for the PS4 would be something along the lines of this:

"With the Sony PlayStation 4, you get the most powerful current generation console at a competitive price. You get the power that the Wii U and Xbox One lack and you get the 3rd party support that the Wii U lacks while sacrificing nothing."

The Sony PS4 could never release an exclusive the entire generation and still smash the competition. Xbone was dead on arrival with their poorly designed system and the Wii U is still considered a joke by casuals.

"Greatness awaits." It should be here by late 2015 or sometime in 2016. If it's not here by then, and the PS4 is still selling lots of units, I've lost all hope in the gaming community.

Dude stop. You know why it is selling. To the mainstream consumer, who knew the X1 and PS4 were going to be stronger than the WiiU and play COD, Madden etc, the only hope MS had was their reveal and then E3. They blew it. So this will be the go to console for people who spend exactly 20 seconds thinking about the industry, are still asking when Halo will come to the other consoles, and when the COD movie is coming out.

The only upcoming PS4 exclusive that looks to be good is Uncharted but that is probably 2 years away and no gameplay was even shown.
