The Imposter

Let the festivities begin at Granny Reed's house.

The woman who is known for her bombass cookin' in three states that don't even touch:

California, Michigan, and Louisiana.

So I don't think twice as I see her dressing on the kitchen table.

It lays there untouched and all I think of is how I get the first scoop.

I pick up the serve spoon and begin to fantasize,

When my older cousin grabs my hand,

"Don't eat the dressing," she whispers, "Granny didn't make it."

I drop the spoon and step back from the table as if it would explode.

Heat rushes to my face as I begin to become beyond pissed.

I've thought of nothing but my Granny's dressing since Thanksgiving last year.

I begin to analyze the dressing as if it were a crime scene.

The victim: my Thanksgiving dream.

I turn to my first witness, my cousin.

"How do you know Granny didn't make this?" I question.

Smacked: LMFAO! I laugh every time I see it. Domestic abuse anyone? For the most part I don't mind it. I can see the ship, but I won't get on. To me, this is the best example of a loving (PLATONIC) relationship on TV.

M&Ms: They're canon b!tch!!! LMAO. I like this ship. But recently, I've wanted to beat Danny with a boot and give Lindsay a good heart to heart. I'm not digging this ship if its gonna lead to some major problems for the show.

Pac: Let me start with 'I ship this'. YES I AM IN DENIAL!!! Let me be in denial DAMMIT!!...*ahem* She may have tortured him with opera, she may have wanted to be with him more than he wanted to be with her BUT he still went to London with her when it was her phone call that put his life in danger. And that is love. I don't give a damn what you say :lol:

Stella/Hawkes: I can dig it. The chemistry is there, but the world isn't ready. :lol: If anything this ship should show that Stella loves all the men in her life and she expresses it...no need to read between the lines people.

Hawkes/Lindsay: :lol::lol::lol::lol: Whew...ur funny :lol:

MeLty: OMG!! :lol: I don't see it, its like H and Calleigh. Father daughter.

Fiesta: Like I said before Stella loves all the men in her life. But, every time she goes through something (which is often), Flack has a moment where he goes off and his feelings for her are obvious. I cant see fault in this ship.

Dang: this is the Flack and Angell pairing in case you didn't know. I sorta kinda ship this, but not really. It may be too early to say but I feel that Angell is the Stella to Flack's Mac...only Flack and Angell flirt.

Marisol/Horatio: I don't mind this ship because she made him happy for a moment. Other than that I ignore that they were ever together. It ruined some things in the show. Like the bond between H and Eric. You know it, I know it and TPTB know it. Eric and Marisol's relationship became strained and nothing is worse than a strained sibling relationship.

Miami men slash of any kind: I think we all agree that these men are too manly to be each others b!tches. :lol:

CSI: Las Vegas

GSR: There are so many things I could say about this ship...To be honest, this was the underdog ship in the beginning. I don't give a damn what you say, Grillows dominated the screen in season 1 and 2. But, I'm all for the underdog and I'm proud to say that I've shipped this since the beginning. Which is funny, seeing as how I didn't like sara in the beginning. My thought was "If grissom wants a whiney girlfriend, have fun" But as the show went on, I saw how he made her jump through hoops for him. By that time everybody who had ever seen the show knew Sara was whipped. Maybe it was my pity for her that made me like her (thats just sad). But now they're together, and I hope Sara put him in his place for all the crap he put her through.

YoBling: :lol: This ship is clearly canon. Don't believe me just cuz i ship them? Watch Bodies in Motion and then come and talk to me. I guess Catherine was destined to be a Cougar (an older woman that dates a younger man). I can't really find any fault in this ship. It could really work. Warrick loves Lindsey, that is apparent every time she's in the lab. Catherine confides in him more like a lover would than a friend. Blah blah blah. I could go on, but thats not the purpose of this blog.

SoNic: realistically, this ship is a long shot. But its still there. Did you or did you not notice how Sofia only smiled real big for Nick in Built to Kill? Watch it again. Now go back to every other time Sofia was on screen. Who else has she smiled like that with. I mean that big HUGE smile? No one. Not that that matters anymore. Because Lousie has jumped ship and is gonna be on another TV show. I guess this 'boat' will have to live on in fanfiction ;)

Wedges: I got mixed feelings bout this one. I'm not a Hodges fan, but I love me some Wendy. Yes, she is wendy 8). However, the combination confuses and entertains me. Lab Rats, the episode, threw me a curveball. I think that was the first time that they really had a 'moment'. Correct me if I'm wrong. Most times, I want Wendy to kick him in the balls and tell him off for being an ass. Other times I want him to man up and just ask her on a date already. Its maddening.

Grillows: Would you all hate me if I said I kinda still like this ship? :lol: No, I'm kidding. But they do kiss off set...:lol: IDK I just think this ship is funny. Maybe because me and a friend have a relationship like this one...and I'm Grissom. :lol:. In all seriousness, if they did end up together, it would be strange. I don't know why people feel men and women can't be platonic friends. Grissom couldn't handle Catherine anyway. Their on different levels of intensity that makes their friendship stronger

CatNip: Did you know that there was a deleted scene from the first episode where Nick and Catherine kiss? No you didn't? You do now. That's right, they were gonna be canon. Thankfully that didn't work out. She's way too motherly to him...and Greg for that matter.

The Love: Let me just say that I don't do slash. Period. I don't see Nick being the kinda guy to bend some other guy over, or vice versa. IDK, he's just...IDK how to put it. Though I can see where people get the idea that Nick and Greg are lovers. They are good friends, but the same rules apply to slash ships than with non-slash ships. They may be friends, but its possible to be friends with someone without bangin them.

BLH: I'll keep this short. I can see it happening. Irony is like that. Bring on the snark and the sarcastic witty banter. They are broken in similar ways and hide it behind sarcasm and a facade that everyone else sees. I can see them breaking down each others walls.

Brass/Catherine: I don't mind this ship, just for the simple fact that the dynamic of this relationship is different from Grillows. They are each others equal, and the way they are around each other could suggest an ease and comfort between them that neither have with anyone else. There's no tension of any kind between them. They're just there I guess.

Brass/Sara: No. Just no. Some people ship this and I have to wonder whether or not that person is into the whole Elektra complex. I don't get down with this ship so we're gonna move on

Snickers: This ship makes me wanna cry cuz I love the chocolate, but I can't stand the ship. Would they be cute together? yes. But are they more like siblings? Yes. I can't think of one moment they've had where it wasn't joking around or more of a supportive friend. I just don't see it. And I've really tried, really really really tried.

Sara/Warrick: WTF? What because they hated each other in the beginning? I don't get it. Both are too...dominate is the only word coming to mind. I don't see how that relationship would work out without hurt feelings and a burned down house...

Sara/Catherine: Again I don't do slash. Besides, Catherine likes 'male genitalia' too much to sleep with chicks anyway. And Sara's too low key to be with Catherine. Catherine needs someone who likes to go out and do stuff. Sara needs someone who thinks a night in is sitting next to each other and reading two different books in silence.

Sofia/Sara: Yes, this is a ship. Know what its called? Sassy. Is that just wrong? Yes it is.

Sofia/Brass: I can actually get down with this ship. Its like GSR only not. The dynamics are different of course but its still got that something about it that makes it wrong but right, ya know?

Sofia/Greg: I love Greg to death, but he's not ready for a woman like Sofia. He wouldn't know what to do with himself. They're more like brother and sister anyway.

Sandle: I can deal with this ship for the simple fact that they're not like brother and sister and they're not oh so super flirty either. Its in that lovely gray area

Grissom/Lady Heather: I'm saying stop...:lol: Catherine hit the nail on the head in TGTBATD, but again, Grissom is and has always been Sara's. And anyway, Grissom wouldn't be able to handle Heather. There is something about her strong but broken spirit that he wouldn't know what to do with.

Yeah I know that was mild. You guys were expecting worse? Well you'll get it with Miami and I just wanna say beforehand that I love you hiphugger fans...the ones that I'm friends with I mean. you guys are okay ;)

Every now and then I like to remind myself why I do what I do. Tonight, I will remind myself why I watch what I watch. If you know me, (which at this point if you don't you haven't been paying much attention and that hurts my feelings...) you should know by now that I can be serious and I can be slightly humorous at the same time. If you're one of those hardcore fans where you find no fault with the show, LEAVE NOW AND DO NOT RETURN!! All caps for that...I mean it though. And if you don't like the show to begin with, please don't bash it. I still like the show and I don't wanna have to find you and...have a long winded conversation with you :D. Keep in mind that I do love these shows, even though you may disagree after you read this. Get some snacks we'll be here a minute. So, Let's begin, shall we?

CSI: Las Vegas

Well, honeslty, this show teases me. They may be the only CSI that actually follows a plot through but at the same time, TPTB leave you hanging when it comes to the actual character stories. I'm not even gonna get started on Jim Brass and his daughter because that whole thing pissed me off to begin with. I wanted to punch Ellie in the face. No joke, I stood up everytime she was on screen. Greg and his attitude with Grissom in You Kill Me ring a bell to anyone?!?! And then recently with Catherine and her 'no you did it you SOB' before the evidence routine? AND WHERE THE FLIP DID SOFIA GO!! Can we get some kind of explaination as to why she's not even mentioned anymore? Can we at least know that she left to work in a different city or is on vacation or something? And why do CSIs keep getting kidnapped?!?! Can we find another way to torture our crack team of investigators please? And what's with Warrick's storyline? In the beginning he was the typical Black dude that eventually got his head on straight. Him and his random steroetypically named family members. Aunt Bertha? Really? Becuase very black person alive has an Aunt thats blind named Bertha. Now, he's on uppers and downers, screws a stripper, is accused of her muder, is put on suspension AND THEN HE COMES BACK LIKE EVERYTHNG IS HUNKY DOREY!! Yes, lets have the Black Man take drugs and screw a stranger! Really TPTB?!! Really?!?! And then Sara...to be honest (I'm gonna mess around and lose some friends) I didn't really like her for...the first two years of the show. She seemed...whiney to me. *shrugs* Sorry. I like her now. But before it was painful. I believe the end is near. Yeah sure, Billy Petersen signed on for a season 9. Big whoop. Doesn't change the fact that season 9 may be the last. Don't be mad at me for saying what everyone else is thinking.

If that bothered you, you should leave now. Miami is next. Behave yourselves. (That means you, Miami haters)

CSI: Miami

First off I just wanna say that this show has been on a downwards slope since season three. I'm not saying that because Speedle died. Ryan Wolfe is a strong enough character to hold his own. But, one would notice how the crimes became extremely superficial near the end of season 2. Remember when it was crimes against real people in situations that could possibly happen? You remember that? I do too. Good times. HOWEVER, season four pissed me off to no end. Granted, we did learn more about the characters, but it was at the expense of the crime investigations. Some of the lines felt horribly forced and I must say that Ryan made me want to tie him to a chair and beat him with a limp noodle. I felt that Eric was a manwhore after Speedle died, but they took that to the next level. Sure he was in mourning. Why not bang a couple babes IN A PUBLIC PLACE. No big deal. And then Natalia....GOOD GOD don't get me started. Honestly, I liked her from the beginning. I started to feel sorry for her when the whole 'Natalia and Eric are gettin it on' plot became more apparent. But she had gotten into that mess on her own. No strings attached my ass. And then there is Horatio. My dear, sweet, loving, true Catholic guilt ridden Horatio. Poor man. I feel the TPTB did David Caruso wrong. Remember back when he had lines? I do. We all love the Sunglasses of Justice, but I think he can live without them, don't you? Can we give the man more lines than stating the obvious please!! David Caruso is not a bad actor, Horatio is just written that way and THAT makes me mad. Then there's Calleigh. I'll probably be banned from the forums for saying this but if Timmy wanted her, he'd have had her. Period. Eric and hiphugs be damned. that said, after he died, it was like she was in constant mourning. Even now, she either wears all black or all white. Or a shirt thats blue but may as well be black. Valera was cool in the beginning. She made me laugh. But after the whole "Horatio, its ur son' scene, I had mixed feelings. I'll be honest, that line could've been delivered a helluva lot better than that. That is all I'll say on her. I feel that Frank, Alexx and Yelina have been the only constant characters on this show, so kudos to them. I'm not even going to say anything about Horatio and Marisol because, quitely frankly, that whole situation sucked big ones. The chemistry between the team has changed for the worse and I don't like it. We don't have to bring Speed or Yelina back. Just fix the damn team dynamic.

CSI:NY

I didn't start watching this until the middle of the second season and I didn't watch it religiously. But I think its safe to say that this should be called the Mac and Stella show. I swear, they go through more sh!t than most people will ever go through. Especially Stella. God must not like her. For real. Sure we get a bit of some Danny emotional drama and we learned about the typical dark past of a CSI. In this show, Lindsay. In Vegas: Sara. We all come from something, I'm not dissin' what they went through. But I'd like to know more about Hawkes. I get the whole tall dark and mysterious, but can we make him more of a human being and not the Token Black Guy that CSI made Warrick please? Sid...I have nothing negative to say about him. I like that creepy ass man. Peyton...WTF?!?!? She's like a ninja! Come in when we don't expect her and leave the same way. Honestly, I was pissed with how she did Mac. However, I can't hate her. IDK what that is. AND WHERE THE FLIP DID ADAM GO?!?! I'll tell you, he's in that new show, I think its called Scarlet or something like that. We got no warning. And I loved me some Adam. And for the record, Aiden was a bomass character. She had a fire in her and I liked that. But Vanessa Ferlito's movie career is going a helluva lot better than Rory Cochrane's, so more power to her. Death Proof is my sh!t!!!
