Sounds like a good port for sure, but I already bought the HD Collection on PS3, that includes Peace Walker. Giving Konami another 40 bucks so I can play 2 games I already own in the new format on the bus seems ridiculous. Should have maybe swapped out one of the other games for a remastered Twin Snakes (my personal choice), then others who already bought the existing HD set might have gone for this as well.
The kind of people that have made Zynga the money they have are a whole new class of "gamer". If you even want to call them that.
I don't think any less of people who enjoy Zynga products, but I really don't know why Gamespot considers anything Zynga related viable in the news section. I'm almost positive I can say that NONE of their reader base cares.
Great, through the whole game Marcus Fenix will have a woody.Pixar are undeniably masters of the craft across the board, but they seem like an odd choice in this regard.
Platinum Games and the Yakuza series is the only thing that has even kept Sega on my radar in the last few years. Dear Sega, get your head out of your you know where, and release the damn game. Dev says it ready, lets go.
I really liked the game, but it was pretty short. The gameplay I thought was fun and easy to to work with, which is a good based on the beat em up mechanic the game works with. It's simple fun, and I think it works. The gameplay experience isn't any more simple than that in the 40k Space Marine game that VanOrd reviewed last year, which received a half a point higher. As a comparison.
In regards to the writing and "crudeness", your mileage will vary depending on your appreciation for cheesy horror films, especially those of the Tromaville variety. I love all this stuff, so I was amused all the way through.
Basically if you typically like Sude 51's aesthetics, you'll want to play this no doubt. If you like campy horror films AND Suda 51's aesthetics, it's probably worth adding to your collection.
Am I only the only person who reads into this statement as
"I have a game coming out called Epic Mickey, and it stars Disney's classic character with various elements of a more twisted and darker nature. Because it stars Mickey Mouse, there won't be any ULTRA VIOLENCE, but I still want gamers ABOVE THE AGE OF 13 to be interested in my game, and consider purchasing it. *DEEP BREATH* With that said, I want you guys to realize that violence in video games is lame, and if you enjoy seeing make believe heads pop open it is quite possible that you are some kind of SEXUAL DEVIANT. *FINAL DEEP BREATH* In closing, you should take your preorders off Black Ops ll, Resident Evil 6, Halo 4, ya ya ya, blah, blah, blah, and put THEM ALL on Epic Mickey. Buy a Wii while your at it."
Ok, so maybe I got a bit carried away, but seriously...
Since video gaming as a hobby has essentially become as big if not bigger in certain respects than the motion picture industry, this dude is basically saying there shouldn't be any violent movies or TV series anymore as well. Not going to work dude.
It is very possible to make a good game/movie with or without violence of any level of gratuity. The fact is that it should not be something a game maker or film maker should feel the need to consider when presenting the creation they've made. There are rating systems in place for this. There has been for decades now.
@Gelugon_baat To each their own, but I just get the impression based on these reviews that some of these guys are prudes, and I find it amusing. I can't wait to hear how whoever reviews it feels about Lollipop Chainsaw. :)
