Next gen on console was 3 years ago on PC. Honestly doesn't look much better than Stalker or, Morrowind or Oblivion texture mods.
After the first couple years of a console generation all the original and quality system sellers being worked on prior to launch will be out and publishers will put all the devs back into "generic cookie cutter get it out asap max profit mode". Just like we are in the current generation. Most of the stuff released 2005-2008 looks, plays, and was designed better than the last 3 years titles it's amazing.
@TrueGB @mattcake Tired old cop out. It's not like each PC works drastically different. There's 2 brands of cpu's and 2 brands of gpus that mostly work the same way but have their own quirks and features. Everything else essentially works the same, it has to on a open plug n' play platform.
When something doesn't perform well on PC it's more that the devs were lazy instead of "oh no I don't have one standard to code for".

@Roger_Smith @nocoolnamejim As long as Obsidian remains a privately owned independent developer no major publisher is going to do anything other than handcuff and exploit them for a quick buck unless they accept someones buyout.
Unfortunately there are a lot of Obsidian haters I know who will spin this as "Oh look, they have another buggy ass game no wonder their publisher is pushing it back, here we go again lol" and ignore the fact everything on THQ's slate was pushed back obviously due to the real problems the company as a whole has been going through.

Games aren't "becoming 24 hour a day experiences" you're intentionally trying to make them that so they can fleece people with more DLC, elite subscriptions, and social networking garbage.
@SirNormanislost @Cozm1kaos But a laptop isn't a PC. And a laptop is much closer to a PC's power and much more portable than a PC where a Tablet is a fraction of the power of a laptop and not as great of a difference in portability. Tablets are practically useless other than watching youtube, facebook, and playing shovelware iOS games.
