@AloeVera4: A. The ghetto has been stigmatized for centuries as a haven't of crime and degenerates, so making white people the stupid villains is already balancing the equation. B. The villains in this game aren't stereotypes, they are exceptions in that they are a doomsday cult, more akin to Wesboro, Waco, and Scientology than any typical right wing conservative organization. C. Do you not see the irony in you feeling the way you do and how that parallels the exact same feelings minority groups have had for decades in this country. D. What's happening now is no different than what has happened for decades here. Every generation goes through political turmoil and civil rights battles. The only thing that has changed is the proliferation of information and our access to it. The ONLY reason everything is politicized rn is because it can be. But the problems we see rn aren't any different from the problems of yesterday, we just see it now all the time. The only way it's going to stop is if things change.

@AloeVera4: I don't care about any of that. I guess I'm more concerned with the fact you're so butt hurt over a video game.

@AloeVera4: Soooo, you have a problem with bad black people, but bad white people is too far? A radical, ultra orthodox, Bible thumping, conservative cult is just ridiculous enough to make sense for a Far Cry game because thats what it is, ridiculous. The violence in Chicago is not and no one wants to play that video game.

Why is it that anytime people with white skin who believe in God and guns are shown in a negative way, there have to be people who get irate about it and feel the need to balance the equation. It's just a video game. Chill out.

@AloeVera4: I assume the point of the game is that you take them out before they become a problem.

If the game is scripted in a certain way, how does choosing the skin color of your character matter? I get that as a person of color, the dialogue, environment, and character types would have a certain effect, but doesn't it cheapen the experience when it's so scripted? Wouldn't you just feel manipulated with the way the game makes you feel? It would be far more impressive if Ubi had made the characters react to who you choose to create as they did with Fractured But Whole. It's hard to get too attached to something emotionally when you know it's trying to ploy you into feeling a certain way.

@kevo44: Is that really so hard to believe? Just because we're a country with so much law enforcement doesn't mean that these kinds of things aren't capable of happening. Did you forget Wako? Or perhaps you just think that law enforcement is just that capable. There are hundreds of isolated communities in the country. There are militias right now gearing up and training for a time they believe their government will come for them. There are hundreds of miles of wilderness for something like this cult to make it's home. The game is not nearly as much a stretch as you might think.

Arrrgggg, why the HECK is it soooo hard to just make co-op a main part of the game? Wildlands did it pretty successfully. It shouldn't even be an afterthought to make co-op just apart of the game. Instead, it has to feel shoehorned and limited. I do applaud Ubi for taking the risks they are and doing something fairly different with their story and setting, but it's frustrating to see them keep the co-op gameplay, one of the main reasons this game seems worth playing, kept on reigns. They need to start integrating co-op as a main part of this series.

@EliOli: You're thinking of it too much in terms of 'big city' conservative extremism and not enough 'isolated backwoods' conservative extremism, which exists. It's a very cartoonish way of portraying extreme conservatism that actually exists and easy to paint a picture of. How would you even make a game in the same way showing the polar opposite in liberalism? The game also seems to make a huge case for the religious wack jobs being in a league of their own, far, far beyond any kind of conservatism that we commonly see. When you have that kind of extremism, you're going to see all various levels of conservatives surrounding it. Hell, I'd imagine that the main character you play and most of the characters who help you are probably conservatives themselves, which would actually be a breath of fresh air.

@arigoldstein88: It's also ranked 44 for state population. While I'm sure there's plenty of smart people, there's also probably a lot of people living in similar communities who aren't so smart.

@Bread_or_Decide: They are a distraction from the real issue. Expensive education, lack of decent job choices, cost of living outweighing wages earned, contentious political climate and a fairly divided country. There are a lot of issues facing the current generation, especially when you look at the 90's and how relatively good they were.
