well you need a top notch controller to beat the game without rolling, because i frequently roll when i actually want to run. i think it's my controller but i'm not 100% on that because it happens on both controllers.
and 20 minutes? haha yeah right. you can't even get to the 3rd boss in 20 minutes by running and ignoring all enemies, let alone beat the game. those dirty dirty cheats :)
most memorable for me was the actual fight with the helicopter in Nepal with the grenade launcher. Afterwards Nate screams "yeah, down she goes!" which i still use regularly after beating bosses in dark souls, even male bosses, which often confuses my friends ;)
@mruno1: It's probably the 1st level. Dead Nation has a similar trophy for beating the 1st level on the hardest setting and it's ridiculously hard, which why i personally was fine with just beating the 1st stage and getting my platinum. From what i've read ultra-nightmare is much like its name suggests, so beating it is probably for hardcore players, but if you want platinum you need to beat at least 1 level to show your worth (from the developer's perspective). It's not unusual for tough games to not tie any trophies to the highest difficulty, so even not-that-hardcore-but-still-hardcore-players can get the platinum. God of War 3 for example also had no trophy for completing Chaos difficulty (oh, the cerberus...).
going to see it tomorrow! but why isn't it out in the us yet, that's odd. don't movies usually get released there 1st? and games and everything while the rest of the world usually has to wait a day.
@DarkCaptain3: i found that summoning between friends with a big level gap to be easier when you don't try to summon at bonfires or boss fogs because those places are littered with signs, maybe making it harder for your sign to appear. instead look for a place where no one would usually put a sign (pretty much like you did in the 1st dark souls when you wanted to play with friends). maybe that helps.
@RSM-HQ: nice, i took vacation the friday and the monday after release, but it was only enough for 1 playthrough. By now i've gotten through the game about 2 and a half times. Weekends got even shorter now with ds3 :(
