@nabinator: i sure didn't need a third spiderman. i went to see the movie yesterday because two friends asked me and i wasn't really all that impressed. it was certainly better than x-men apocalypse, but that isn't hard.

I liked SOA at first but the story never seemed to be going anywhere so i stopped watching at some point. I liked the characters too, they just never did anything interesting.

@snugglebear: just to be clear: you have to sync it on your ps3. you can't sync it from another console. not saying you didn't try that, it's just unclear they way you wrote. once you sync it on your ps3 it should show up on the ps4 as well.

Until Dawn is pretty nice to play with some friends and drive each other crazy. It does not uphold its promise of different ways that the story can play out, but it sure is a lot of fun to play through once or twice. The only thing you can influence is wether characters die and how much they like/dislike each other. But the story is very scripted and plays out the same way each time. But it is a good story if you're into twen-horror movies. I liked it.

@Keaze_: yes i agree. i like getting a platinum as well, but i never said/texted to anyone "look at me i got so many platinum trophies i'm da man!" nobody cares for your trophies except you. i think you're right that a lot of people are misunderstanding this. the only times i use that "compare trophies" feature is to see which other games i have in common with someone (e.g. if you get a friend request).

@maitkarro: He's talking about people stopping to play games BEFORE they even finish it once. This is not about trophy hunting or 100%ing anything. As most games have trophies that automatically unlock in the story (e.g. beat chapter 8) if you view your trophies for a game you can see the percentage of all players who played the game and have gotten that trophy. And it is true that a lot of players stop playing games after the 1st few chapters, no matter what game or genre. And he sees that as a waste of money.

Not finishing a game is kinda like watching the 1st 30 minutes of a lot of movies without ever finishing one. To quote you one would "just waste one's life for nothing". i do 100% agree with you though that fun is what matters most.

i admit i do care for trophies a bit. i think they can (sometimes) provide a nice additional challenge by doing certain action you otherwise wouldn't think of and prolong a game's life and replayability. but i always care about the game 1st and i would never buy a game that doesn't look fun to me just to get more trophies. in fact the days when i tried all genres is long gone (ps2-era) and i only purchase a few certain games each year of which i know they fall into my genre or sound exciting enough (e.g. this year i only purchased darkest dungeon and prey so far). when i really like a game (after i played it through a couple of times) i try to get platinum, but if it is too annoying to get, like spending an enormous amount of time grinding or playing an MP i don't like or (worst-case scenario:) a trophy is bound to driving a vehicle within a certain time then i stop to care about it.

On the other hand if i like that specific type of grind i might just do it. RE Revelations' Raid Mode had you do an insane amount of kills for a trophy, which took a long time, but since i enjoyed that mode it didn't bother me.

In the best case trophies have you doing something you wouldn't otherwise do, but something that is weirdly fun to try. Like cutting off a Necromorph's arm, impale him with it, make him fly 20m and stick to a wall. Though this might be a bad example since i did that all the time to conserve ammo, but you get my point.

@spiddyman007: you forgot "ontent". and anyways "add-on" would be the right word. DLC means just that it's downloaded, and i have whole games that are DLC. that's ok though, a lot of people, even companies, use the word like that (=really meaning add-ons).

@yazman666: i think they made clear that this is not the next big uncharted game. It started off as an add-on and became a standalone during development. it has the perfect timing for being that, maybe even a little late to be honest. if it was uncharted 5 i'd agree, it'd be to soon. i imagine it'll play like U4, with of course some minor new gameplay elements to it, but the gunplay and platforming will probably feel a lot like U4.

RE5 is my favourite coop game ever!

RE6 was alright too, but gameplay wise definitely worse than 5. The thing that annoyed me the most, that the game forced you to carry all your collected guns all the time (what's the point of carrying 2 SGs for Helena, or 2 Snipers for Piers? why make me carry a machine gun, when i never want to use it?). Oh and it had waypoints that could only be turned off by turning off you whole hud... that sucked. Otherwise i had a lot more fun with the game than most other gamers apparently. i liked all 4 storylines and how they all were different from another, by having different settings and different equipment for the characters.
