@ThePlantain: No, a vocal minority would cry the blues. CDPR won't burn any goodwill away if the game is solid. A Gamespot article suggested CDPR were looking to sell their game as a console exclusive. Assuming that's true, it would be disastrous to MS if Sony snagged that game as an exclusive. Further, MS will probably only purchase a limited-time exclusive like with Tomb Raider, so ultimately all the hurt Sony fanboy's will still get to play it on the PS4.
@mhfon: Sony is a more natural fit (through racism or nationalism or whatever you want to call it) than MS. Further, after the way MS abandoned Mistwalker I don't think many Japanese really want to deal with MS regardless of the money. (NOTE: I don't think Phil Spencer would burn through studios like the previous regime did). Kojima is a bit of a prima-donna who takes way too long to complete games...er, get the games to market complete or not. As I said earlier, if CDProjektRED is really open to doing an exclusive on a console system with Cyberpunk 2077, MS needs to secure that arrangement. Kojima won't bring MS nearly as many sales as CDProjektRED.
@Bread_or_Decide: The potential for spoilers makes this very hard to discuss. I don't think it was necessary to connect the all Bioshock games with a common theme. Bioshock Infinite could've/should've been a completely separate game.
@bobafetthatesu: I'm in no rush for a new console. I'd expect them (MS/Sony) to launch another console iteration anywhere between 2018 and 2020 (and I'm hoping more for the latter). If you want the cutting edge games/graphics, the console won't supersede the PC. The console is designed for mass market appeal, and they will always use cheaper hardware as opposed to cutting edge chips.
I really hope they plan the next generation console design better though. Launching with a 500 GB hard drives and requiring disk games transfer to hard drive (which are averaging 50 GB/each) was a terrible idea. Also, consumers expected 1080p/60fps this generation and neither company really delivered. Personally, instead of improving beyond 1080p/60fps graphics for the next generation I want the complete and total elimination of loading screens.
